Community Map and Information COLDSIDE LOCAL COMMUNITY PLANNING PARTNERSHIP The Coldside Local Community Planning Partnership meets each quarter. It enables Council Department’s to work together better with partner agencies at a local level. The aim is to deliver services and activities in a way which better meets the needs of people in Coldside. The Partnership meeting is chaired by Dundee City Council City Engineer and is regularly attended by all four local elected members, senior staff from other key City Council Departments and planning partners including the Voluntary Sector, Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and NHS Tayside. The boundary stretches from the roundabout at North Marketgait, to the Kingsway, the Miley and then to Lochee Road and includes Hilltown, Law, Fairmuir, The Glens and Dudhope community areas. There are approximately 19,730 people living in Coldside. Coldside boasts a number of green and open spaces, including Dudhope Park which features one of Scotland’s finest outdoor skate parks and the stadiums for Dundee and Dundee United football teams. Coldside was also home to the site of ten multis, recently reduced to four. The Hilltown area of Coldside has a rich history dating back to pre 1800’s and once had a dynamic range of small shops up and down its spine. This area is now at the heart of regeneration with the development of new schools and a community facility. The central point of Coldside Ward is Dundee Law. From this vantage point you can see the rest of the city and far beyond.
