Calculation Use numbers and measurements to support accurate calculation. Use mathematics to justify and support decisions and proposals, communicating accurately using mathematical language and conventions, symbols and diagrams.

    Physical Development:

    * I can perform and link actions and skills with more consistent control and quality. *I can plan, use and adapt strategies, tactics and compositional ideas for individual, pair, small-group and small-team activities

Creative Development: DT Researching, designing, planning and assembling a robot.

    PE Volleyball

    Hockey

Personal, Social and Economic Development: PSHE - I can explain how everyone is different and valued. I understand why it is good to be different. RE - What difference does it make to believe in Ahimsa (harmlessness), Grace, and Ummah (community)?

    Computing:

Design, write and debug programs that accomplish specific goals, including controlling or simulating physical systems; solve problems by decomposing them into smaller parts

Use sequence, selection, and repetition in programs; work with variables and various forms of input and output

Use logical reasoning to explain how some simple algorithms work and to detect and correct errors in algorithms and programs

Mathematics: Using protractors to accurately measure and draw angles and shapes with specific dimensions. Use knowledge and understanding of angles to calculate missing angles in triangles, lines and quadrilaterals and use this understanding to problem solve. Calculate area, perimeter and volume of a range of 2D and 3D shapes and problem solve using understanding of shape. Read time on analogue and digital clocks, calculate time intervals and understand and answer questions about timetables. Continue to practise and apply written methods including long division and long multiplication.

Communication, Language and Literacy: MFL French Literacy – Trash by Andy Mulligan Explanation and instruction writing, as well as fiction writing.

Using a wide range of punctuation including colons, semi-colons and hyphens.

    Subjunctive form

Using expanded noun, prepositional and adverbial phrases.

Literacy Interrogate texts to deepen and clarify understanding and response. Organise texts into paragraphs to distinguish between different information, events or processes.

Knowledge, understanding of the world: Computing: Working with New College and Digital School House to use BBC Micro:Bit to animate a robot that the children have designed using a range of coding strategies.

DT Use research and develop design criteria to inform the design of innovative, functional, appealing products that are fit for purpose, aimed at particular individuals or groups

Generate, develop, model and communicate their ideas through discussion, annotated sketches, cross-sectional and exploded diagrams, prototypes, pattern pieces and computer-aided design

Select from and use a wider range of tools and equipment to perform practical tasks [for example, cutting, shaping, joining and finishing], accurately

PSHE – celebrating differences RE – Christianity, Islam and Hinduism.
