A Brief Introduction…

• The Coca-Cola company is the largest manufacturer, distributor and marketer of nonalcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups in the world.

• Finished beverage products bearing their trademarks are sold in U.S. since 1886 and now sold in more than 200 countries around the world.

History:

Coca-Cola was invented in May 1886 by Dr. Pemberton in Atlanta, Georgia.

The name “Coca-Cola” was suggested by Frank Robinson, bookkeeper of Dr. Pemberton.

In beverage market Pepsi is their main competitor. In recent few years, Pepsi and other beverages are having great number of sales for their advance sales promotional activities.

So, to hold the top position in beverage market, Coca-Cola need to come up with new sales strategies, product promotion channel and advertising.

We recommend…

Coca-Cola have skepticism about the information given by the retail shopper Gerland. They can started temporary retail shopping of their own product and collect information about consumer’s taste, demand and total market situation. This would help them to make correct and effective marketing strategy.They can develop and search for new product supply channel. This would help them to increase their sale and distribution of the product.

This may bring greater advertisement for them.Coke can made other kinds of sales promotional activities such as arranging sales fair, product exhibition, discount sales, giving prizes to the best seller/distributors and as well as to the consumers.

Since 1985, “The Coca-Cola Foundation” have contributed more than $138 million in the support of education. They can spend more in this and make a great product promotional activities through it. This would increase their sale and make a lot of profit for them.Coke can brought about variation of their product taste. This would also increase their sale of new product.
