Principal’s Report
Please note time changes for the Christmas Concerts on the last day of term. Following full rehearsals, the-
se times have been altered to ensure that we do
not have to rush through any of the items that the students will be presenting.
Gold team concert/assembly runs 12.05-1.35pm
16.12.16
Copper/Zinc team runs 2.00-3.05pm—16.12.16
Our thoughts this week are with the Colling family who lost
their house in a fire last weekend. The positive from this is
seeing the amazing support for the family from the Cobar com-
munity.
Assumption College, a school just outside of Melbourne, visit-
ed us this week and undertook community service around the school. They worked in the gardens, canteen and in other areas
around the school, helping to beautify our grounds. We thank
the students for their work in the school and hope they enjoyed their time in Cobar.
Elections for the 2017 school captains and vice captains were held this week. These are important positions in the student
leadership team and we look forward to announcing the
successful students at presentation day in week 10.
Students attended the WSPA dance concert during the week to
support their friends and siblings who were dancing. This was a great experience for all involved.
Have a great weekend.

LEARNER
Ernie has been quite busy over the
last few weeks, but he has stumbled
upon a young lady by the name of
Apanie. She is a delight to have at
CPS as she is always following the
PBL expectations. Well done Apanie!
Ernie is always happy to see Leslie
Hooker in the playground. Ernie often
hears Leslie saying hello to everyone
and being very respectful when
speaking to staff.Keep up the great
work Leslie.
Ernie has been watching Latifah in class and
has noticed a massive improvement in her
writing. Latifah has been seen working quietly
at her desk and writing sentences all by
herself. Amazing work Latifah. Ernie is super
proud of you.
