CRABH KILLS HIL L A ND WIFE Servic�s at Paris Mortuary were held Friday for Isaac Hill, 60, and his w ife lll'ene , 50, who were instantly killed when he drove his sedan into the rear of a slowing hay truck on Hwy 80 in front of Alpi ne Circ le Trailer Park . Dr. Frank Linder of f iciated , w i th burial in Ft. Rosecrans. Hill was a retired navy chief. Al Towns end and h is wif e who manage the trail er court Yiere in front .talking with two s heriff s at 8: 30 Sat. ni te when the hay truck driven by Jas. L. Strong, Alpine, slowed down for the village. Sud­denlr the Hill car crashed into the trai er, the right head�amp hitt�ng_ the middle of the chassis, knocking the dual wheels way out of line and demolishing the ca_r. R�ss Tann�r, CHP·officer and co-roner s �ep_uttes investigated. Strong was not tnJured. Alpine Motor Service removed the wreck and Alpine Fire men cl eaned up the road. Both the Hills were thrown agunst the instrume nt board, Hill's chest being pushed agains� th� wheel. He died moments after his wife who was instantly killed.. They are survived by a son, Calvin, who came from Buffalo, N.Y. to take care of the funeral. A foster son, Wm. Webb, is in the navy in S.D •. wa� also here at the time. Mrs. H�ll s mo ther Ji v e s in L.A. The H ills b ought the Bal Jo u home on VieJ as Grade Road, last Augus t, c�m1ng here for Mrs. Hill's sinus trouble. They had many friends in this area.
