In this Customizing activity, you can transport the forms that you have generated in the previous Customizing activity under Define Templates for Talent Assessment.Standard settingsUsing the wizard under Define Templates for Talent Assessment, the category group Talent Management Core was automatically created, in which all categories (for the processes for which the forms were created) and therein all forms that you created for the talent assessment using the wizard are contained.ActivitiesTo transport the forms, proceed as follows:1. In the Appraisal Template Catalog in the left navigation window, navigate to your category group or category, or to the forms that you want to transport and select them.2. Use the right-hand mouse button to choose Transport.3. Specify a Customizing transport request or generate a request.4. Choose Continue.

Standard settingsThe table already contains the scales that you have generated using the wizard in the Define Templates for Talent Assessment Customizing activity.ActivitiesTo define your own scales for the talent assessment, proceed as follows:1. Choose New Entries from the menu bar.2. Enter a new ID in the ID table column.3. Use the input help to select the suitable scale type in the Type table column.4. Under Consumer, enter for which of the application components Talent Management and/or Performance Management the scale is to be usable.5. In the Scale Visibility table column, select the visibility of the scale in the wizard.6. Save your entries.

Create Process GroupingsUseIn this Customizing activity, you create process groups by entering an ID and a label for each process group that you require.The process group labels are used in the Web Dynpro application HRTMC_TA_DASHBOARD for the column headers of the process groups within the subviews IN PROCESS and COMPLETED, that is for displaying the talent assessments with the status In Process or Completed.

Define Process Periods and GroupingsUseIn this Customizing activity, you can define the periods of the individual processes that you want to use for the talent assessmentGrouping processes enables the grouped processes to be displayed and edited collectively. This enables you to define a sequence in which the grouped processes are made available for selection on the left-hand side when assessing the talent (Web Dynpro application HRTMC_TA_ASSESSMENT).

Career Planing

Define Career TypesIn this Customizing activity you create the types of careers that are available in your company. You create the career types as subtypes of the Career Type infotype (7410).In the Customizing activity Define Career Levels, you can specify different levels for each career type. The career types and levels of career type are used for the following purposes: In the talent profile, an employee can select a career type and level of career type that he or she is aiming for on the Career Goal tab page.

In this Customizing activity you create the levels of career type for the career types that are available in your enterprise.RequirementsIf you want to create levels of career type for customer career types, you must have previously created the career types in the Define Career Types Customizing activity.Standard settingsThe standard system contains levels of career type for the standard career types Management Career and Functional Career.ActivitiesYou can adjust the levels of career type for the standard career types, or create levels of career type for customer career types.

Edit CareersIn this step, you define and change careers. Careers are paths within an organizational structure that are generally applicable. Careers are used to depict the principal personnel development paths in a company. Careers can be used as the basis for career and succession planning.A career is a set of jobs or positions and can extend over all the organizational units in a company. You can create an unlimited number of careers within an organizational structure. One career can contain up to 9999 career items.

Basic Settings for CM and CP

Maintain Number RangesIn this step, you specify the number ranges for your PD objects and the type of number assignment. You must assign a unique number to every object.You have the following options: Internal number assignmentIf you want the SAP System to assign the numbers, enter "IN" in the 'NR' field. The number ranges are then indicated by the letters "IN". External number assignmentIf you want the user to assign the numbers, enter "EX" in the 'NR' field. The number ranges are then indicated by the letters "EX".

Maintain SubtypesIn this step, you maintain the settings necessary for creating subtypes for infotypes.You can create new subtypes for standard infotypes or for customer- specific infotypes. In either case, you have to assign a time constraint to both subtypes and infotypes.

Maintain RelationshipsIn this step, you make the settings that are required for creating relationships.By creating relationships between objects, you can display all the structures that exist in Personnel Management.Relationships are special subtypes of infotype 1001.Each relationship has two relationship types, indicated by A and B. For each relationship created (A or B), the corresponding inverse relationship is automatically set up.

Edit ScalesIn this step, you define and change the proficiency scales that are used in the Qualifications and Requirements and Appraisal Systems components.You define a scale by specifying a unique numeric identifier and a name for the scale. You will also have to define proficiencies for each scale.
