We decided at the monthly meeting in June to have our July meeting on the 7th because of all the activities going on during the 4th. We will feast on traditional Bubba burgers and hot dogs. Anyone who has not already let us know they can attend, please do so. Bill will fire up some of his jukeboxes and I think he'll also let us do some donuts in his T-Bird. It was held on a Tuesday evening but, we still had a dozen or more cars between the two clubs. A special thanks to the Golden City Cruisers for including us. From our Region we had Bill and Sharon Hearnburg in their 1956 Thunderbird, Gary and Carol Moyses in their 1947 Crosley, Glenn and Debbie Novak in their 68 Buick Wildcat, and Rick and Liz Horne in their 1930 Model A. Looking ahead, we have some fun scheduled for you! July 20th our sister club, GA/AL AACA, have invited us to go to join them for a trip to the National Infantry Museum in Columbus, GA. If you have never been there, it is well worth the effort to go. The museum is fantastic with cover all US wars. Look on page 5 for more information. We'll have our Labor Day Cruise In at the Lowell Opry House. Plans are underway already so it should be bigger and better than last year. The Golden City Cruisers will join us as well as anyone who wants to attend. Notices will run the West Georgia Shopper starting in August. The Club Birdie tells us Bill Hearnburg is making good progress on the 57 Ford restoration. Jim Nichols is also making progress on his Model A coupe, although slower than he would like. I think that's universal in the old car hobby. Happy Motoring, Rick

1. Called to order 7:50PM by Rick Horne2. Minutes from 05/02/2013 accepted3. Summary of June 01 car show at Mike Bell Chevrolet.4. Net deposit to club treasury to date is $958.00 based on 48 registered cars.5. Three additional late registrations added $60.00 and we expect another $120.00 for trophies. If

all goes as expected, the show total should be $1138.00.6. Discussion regarding the next and future shows included; a. A date not concurrent with Mayfest. First Saturday in June is a likely choice. b. Early advertising to discourage competing shows. c. A rain date on the flyer should be considered. d. Some revisions to classes based on past turnout or to attract more participants. e. We need more and better door prizes. f. Always emphasize this is a charity car show. g. No goodie bags, just dash plaques.

7. Winning trophy pictures will appear in West Georgia Shopper as space permits.8. The club does not own a PA system, so the search begins for new, used, or rental equipment

that is affordable. Nothing battery powered.9. Important that our club works with and supports other local car clubs. Golden City Cruisers

show is the 3rd Saturday each month and Bowdon cruise is the 4th Saturday each month. Watch the newsletter for other club dates (especially LaGrange and Oxford/Anniston).

10. The Golden City Cruisers extended an invitation to join them for a visit to Cottage landing on June 25 to show our cars to the senior citizens. A show of hands indicated five or six cars will participate.

11. Our next meeting would fall on July 4th, so a change was made to have a cook-out at the Hearnburgs. On the following Saturday (July 6th). Information will follow.

12. Adjourn at 8:35PM.
