General Body meeting of Rotary Club Chandigarh Midtown

The weekly meeting on October 26, 2018 was our 2nd

Club Assembly of the current Rotary year. President Rtn Ashok Puri put up the following matters before the General Body / House as per our Club Bylaws;

1. The decision taken by the Board 2018-19 in getting the accounts of 2017-18 audited and Income Tax return filed, was duly ratified by the General Body.

2. Regarding appointment of the Auditor for 2018-19 the Club will receive proposals which will be reviewed by the board, and put up before the general body for its approval.

PDG Shaju Peter speaks at Rotary Club Chandigarh

The weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Chandigarh of Monday October 08, 2018 was

devoted to the Medical Mission of Uganda in August 2018 led by PDG Shaju Peter.

Invited by President AP Singh, PDG Shaju spoke about the 20th anniversary of Medical

Mission to Africa, the programme conceived by PRIP Raja Saboo and Usha ji.

Among those present on the occasion were PRIP Raja Saboo, Dr SPS Grewal, Dr Sushil

Saini from 3070, Dr Kuldip Dhawan and Dr Rajat Bhushan, all members of the team.

District Governor Praveen Goyal presented all team members certificates of appreciation

on behalf of the club.

In his mail to PDG Shaju, PRIP Raja Saboo said, “Instead of a mundane introductory

part of the mission, you made it a very touching real story which lifted up our this

mission as a commemoration of 20 years of journey. In fact, I could see many wet eyes

as you spoke. I thank you, compliment you and admire you. God bless you, Shaju. You

have been a strength to me and Usha.”

Vocational Courses at CCET (Diploma Wing)

On 22.10.2018 Vocational Courses commenced at CCET (Diploma Wing), Sector 26, Chandigarh in the presence of Principal Mrs Sanjana Arora.

Following members of Chandigarh Midtown were present in this event:

This is an important vocational project of our Club, which is

in collaboration with CCET (Diploma Wing) since last three

years. This time 67 candidates have been enrolled for the 6

months Vocational Course for; Electrical–25,

AC/Refrigeration–11 and Computer Basics–31 (girls only).

The event ended with tea and snacks for all present.
