Cloud4Wi is a cloud as a service, provided by

WiTech, enabling next generation managed

Wi-Fi hotspot services.

Cloud4Wi allows managed services providers to

deliver their own customers a complete

managed Wi-Fi hotspot service leveraging on a

multi-level approach. In detail, Cloud4Wi not

only offers Internet access, but provides also

geo web apps and active contents through the

splash portal 2.0, as well as creates new

revenue streams thanks to the under-the-top

approach

In addition, Cloud4Wi is the market place for

web apps. Specifically, the open environment

enables 3rd parties to host and publish their

own web apps.

Hosted in the cloud infrastructure of Amazon

EC2 Web Services, Cloud4Wi can also be

installed in a private data center

a huge reduction of up-front investments and

operational costs.

Multi-level approach and policy

Cloud4Wi adopts a multi-level approach,

enabling different players to manage their Wi-Fi

hotspot services, based on a tree-based

hierarchical enforcement.

In detail, Cloud4Wi allows the Managed Service

Provider to offer high-customizable managed

Wi-Fi hotspot services, giving Tenants and WiFi

Area Owners the maximum flexibility in their

definition.

The Managed Service Provider (MSP) allows

Tenants to deliver Wi-Fi hotspot services,

managing service’s options from the top or

enabling Tenants to self-manage them.

Each Tenant can create and manage his own

WiFi Area, defining service plans, pricing model

and splash portal.

Each WiFi Area Owner can manage splash

portal contents, use web apps for promotion or

marketing purposes, as well as customize his

own service model.

portal, which is not just a login box but a new

generation login portal, providing a feature-rich

easy-to-customize multimedia communication

channel between end-users and Wi-Fi hotspots.

Leveraging the responsive approach, the splash

portal adapts its own content and template to

devices, ensuring usability on laptops, tablets and smartphones.

Cloud4Wi is a vendor agnostic solution allowing

a huge reduction of up-front investments and

operational costs. Thus, Cloud4Wi is fully

integrated with the most popular vendors of

access and network devices, and firmware.

Public or private cloud delivery

Cloud4Wi is hosted in the cloud infrastructure of

Amazon EC2 Web Service for the public cloud

offer, but it can be also installed in a private

data center of the manager services provider for

a dedicated telco initiative (private cloud). Thus,

Cloud4Wi enables a very fast setup of the

initiative, avoiding local installation and

configuration.

Cloud management

The intuitive control panel enables the cloud

management of Wi-Fi hotspot services at each

level (MSP, Tenant, WiFi Area Owner). The

control panel is developed and optimized for

various devices (laptops, tablets and

smartphones) to simplify daily operations.
