A Message From Father KenThe time has come to once again renew our commitment to stewardshiphere at Prince of Peace Parish.

A few years ago, the Diocese was considering closing some of oursmaller parishes due to the shortage of priests. One of the determiningfactors in deciding which parishes should close was whether or not theparish was considered “vibrant.”

A “vibrant” parish is one where people are involved in the life of theparish, whether it be liturgically, socially, or in the areas of evangelizationand out-reach to the poor and those in need.

Thankfully, because of our size, Prince of Peace is not a parish beingconsidered for closure. Nevertheless, we are called to be a vibrantparish.

I would say that Prince of Peace IS a vibrant parish thanks to thewillingness of people like YOU who are willing to be involved in so manyareas of parish life.

As your Pastor, I ask that you continue to carry out our mission tocelebrate our faith, live our faith, and pass our faith on to others bysharing the gifts of your time, talent, and treasure.

I thank you for making Prince of Peace the “vibrant” family of faith Godcalls us and empowers us to be.

Sincerely in Christ, the Prince of Peace,

Father Ken Kuntz

Electronic GivingElectronic Giving is the term used to describe automatic methods for makingchurch contributions on a regular basis without the need to write checks, use cash or prepare envelopes.

Electronic Giving provides convenience for you and consistency for thechurch. Electronic giving eliminates frequent check writing and helpsmembers stay on track with their financial commitments even when theyare unable to attend services. The church in turn benefits from much-needed donation consistency and a reduction in the volume of check andcash contributions that must be handled and manually processed.

To enroll in Electronic Giving, or to change your current Electronic Givingamount, complete the form (see Electronic Giving form on next page) andreturn it with your Commitment Card or to the Parish Office at yourconvenience.
