The ROSARY…and the greatest gift you can give…

Today is the Fourth Sunday in Advent…there are only seven more days till Christmas. Time passes so fast. You may be feeling stressed because you have so much on your plate in the days ahead. Here is a suggestion…slow way down today. Be good to yourself…savor the season and recognize that all of the rest of this activity in your life will happen in its own good way and time. How strange is it that we celebrate the Birth of Our Lord by

partying and giving gifts to everybody else? (You can say that you have given a gift to Our Lord with your envelope in the basket…to be sure, that is important). But, the greatest gift you will ever give to Him is YOU. Make time in your day to meditate and visit with Him. An ideal time is early in the morning. Hopefully, you are wide awake, it’s quiet and you can just sit down and talk to Him. Our Lord knew you before you were born and He created you out of love. He needs quiet time to talk to you. Tell Him about your day and He will help you put it in order. You will gain a feeling of calm with a good perspective on life. Think of your life as a large quilt…a creation of many unique and beautiful pieces. God is the binding thread that holds it all together.Remember, you and your family are always invited to take part in our weekly Rosary for Peace, every Saturday at 4:35 p.m., just before Mass.

Christmas Mass Intentions: Please consider the following bulletin announcement: “A special Christmas gift – Have a Mass said by a missionary priest for your loved ones and friends. The Missions Office receives numerous requests for Mass stipends from many missionary priests around the world. Mass stipends are a critical means of supporting them with their mission and pastoral needs. The benefits of a Mass celebrated by a missionary priest are far-reaching. Your loved ones will receive a lovely Christmas themed Mass card acknowledging your gift. Visit www.missions.colsdioc.org for the Mass form under the “Request a Mass” section, and mail the form with payment to: Diocese of Columbus Missions Office, 197 E. Gay Street, Columbus, OH 43215. The Mass stipend is $10.00. Call 614-228-8603 if you have questions.

BETHESDA HEALING MINISTRYJesus healed not only those with physical illnesses but also those with spiritual needs. One evening a woman of dubious repute, looking for Jesus, entered uninvited, the home of one of the religious leaders. Kneeling before Jesus, she knelt down, washed his feet with

her tears and wiped them with her hair. Jesus accepted her beautiful act of love. While others were shocked by her behavior, Jesus knew the sincerity of her heart and said “Your sins are forgiven.” (Luke 7:48) That awesome gift awaits each women seeking release from the shame and guilt of her abortion. Bethesda Healing Ministry welcomes the opportunity to support you in seeking the Sacrament of forgiveness and healing. Please call Bethesda Healing Ministry confidential lines at 614-309-2651 or 614-309-0157 or visit our website at bethesdahealing.org.Be sure to “Like” us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/BethesdaHealing.
