Dear Parents,

‘‘Exciting time is here again! Its time for Summer Vacation and fun filled activities’’.

Children are reservoirs of potential which need to be tapped and channelized in diverse ways. We

at RPS Sr. Sec. School, Mahendergarh feel that it is very important to fire their imagination and

foster an outlook that helps them explore, discover and rediscover. Children should be encouraged

to develop intellectually and physically. Summer Vacation is the best and fruitful time for

learning and nurturing creativity. It is the time when you can connect with your child in many

ways. The designed Holiday Homework would not only enhance achievements of your children

but also help to enhance family relationships. It would teach your child to work independently

and would improve their basic academic skills such as reading, writing and spellings and would

help them develop personal skills and time management.

The Summer Vacation will be from 24 May to 30 June, 2019. The school will reopen on 1st July,

2019 (Monday).

Inculcate following good habits in your child:-

Life Skills:-

• Buttoning/Unbuttoning shirt. • Laying the table for dinner. • Arranging shoes in the shoe rack. • Packing school bag. • Tying shoe laces. • Keeping belongings in place.

Social Skills:-

• Listen to others. • Obey your elders. • Greet the visitors with a smile. • Treat guests nicely. • Speak politely.

Personal Hygiene:-

• Brush teeth twice a day. • Comb hair regularly. • Take a bath everyday. • Wash hands before and after meals.

• Trim nails and keep them clean .

Good Manners:-

• Use magic words like ‘Sorry’, ‘Please’,‘Excuse me’and ‘Thank you’. • Help your parents/grandparents in doing house chores. • Eat your food without spilling.

Encourage your ward to converse in English

Special Note:-

(i) Homework should be done under parents’ supervision.

(ii) Help your ward to learn all the syllabus that he/she has done till now in notebooks and books

as it becomes easier for a child to retain and adjust after the long break.

(iii) Parents must establish a set time each day for studying. Time management should be there.

(iv) Holidays Homework will be available at the school website.(www.rpsmgarh.edu.in)
