PRIVILEGES

• Privileges will increase as students progress through

grade levels

• School Functions (athletics, activities, and social

functions)

– Must be eligible to participate

• Based on discipline, grades, and attendance

• No Credit Status = No participation

Students that commit serious disciplinary infractions,

including, but not limited to fighting, assault, violence,

threats of violence, weapon offenses, drug/alcohol

offenses, harassment, intimidation, bullying, hate crimes,

etc., will be subject to losing privileges, and/or may

not participate in school-sponsored events, the prom,

or privileges.

Administration holds the discretion to exclude any

student from any school-sponsored event, function, or

privilege.

• Any student that is suspended 11 or more total days

will not be able to participate or attend school

sponsored activities.

Possible privileges lost include, but are not limited to the

following:

• Participation in school activities, athletics, clubs, after

school events (such as EHT Idol, talent shows, school

dances, or Mr. EHT), trips, prom, and/or attendance at

senior activities (such as Senior Olympics, Senior Picnic)

and commencement exercises.

ATTENDANCE

• 11 or more unexcused absences = No Credit Status

• Pupils who are on NO CREDIT STATUS WILL NOT BE

eligible for sports, activities, and social functions.

• Remember to turn in any doctor’s notes the following day

as well.

• Excused absences: illness with Doctor’s notes, death in

the family, court, education opportunity (pre-approved).

• FAMILY VACATIONS ARE NOT EXCUSED!

• PARENT NOTES ARE NOT ACCEPTED!

TARDINESS

• Students must sign in at the Main Office upon arrival

after the 1st Block late bell rings (7:35 am).

• Parent notes WILL NOT BE accepted for late arrivals.

• Doctor’s notes needed to excuse any lates.

• Lateness Policy:

– Any student signing in after homeroom will not receive credit for

the day.

– Lates 1 – 4: Teacher Detention/Warning

– Lates 5 – 15: Central Detention for each late

– Lates 16 – 20: Saturday Detention for each late

– Lates 21 or more: Administrator’s Discretion

**Progressive lates can result in Out-of-School Suspension

• Freshman must have 120 credits to graduate

• Example:

– 9th grade = 6 classes = 30 credits

– 10th grade = 6 classes = 30 credits

– 11th grade = 6 classes = 30 credits

– 12th grade = 6 classes = 30 credits

ELIGIBILITY

• Upperclassmen (grades 10, 11 and 12) must pass six (6)

classes (30 credits) in the previous school year to be

eligible to compete in the fall.

• Eligibility rules follow freshman guidelines for remaining

seasons until graduation occurs.
