The students of Class 7 will adopt the school ACHARYA NARENDRA DEV ACADEMY, 18 JOPLING ROAD for the session
2014-15. This is a school for the underprivileged children whose parents can ill afford their education and the children are studying on
sponsorship. The age groups range from 4 to 13 years. It is a project of Mrs. Meera Talwar, who is personally involved. Benevolence
drives will be organized by the students, under the guidance of their teachers. These will aim at social interaction, imparting basic
knowledge on various topics, organizing medical camps and maintenance projects which will enable our students to understand the
needs of these children and provide help in ways befitting.
During this session, student representatives (around 50) will be sent to this school on Saturdays while the others will remain in class to
make different articles planned for the next drive.
FIRST TERM
1. Benevolence Drive (footwear and stationery).
2. ‘Keep my Environment Healthy’ – a project wherein our students will give talks on basic hygiene and also act as volunteers
in cleaning their school. Dustbins made by our students will be taken for each classroom.
3. ‘Teach and Learn’ – our students will make informative charts according to the needs of children and put up these teaching
aids in the school adopted.
4. ‘Assets in order’ – our students will assess and maintain furniture of this school, involving the inmates in polishing, minor
repairs and painting.
5. Medical camp – doctor parents will be requested to help and boys will run the camp under the able assistance of the doctor.
FINAL TERM
6. ‘Go Green’ – a tree plantation drive in which our boys will plant saplings or make a kitchen garden and train the inmates to
maintain it.
7. Excursion and picnic at La Martiniere College – our students will organize a fun-filled day for their friends, after taking them
on a tour of our school.
8. Our students will organize a Special Assembly for the inmates at their school, celebrating a festival by organizing a skit.
9. ‘Money-wise’ – our students will paint ‘Gullaks’, personalize them and give them to their friends, telling them about the
importance of saving and encouraging them to do so.
