CLAIMS - What You Need to Know!
Learn & Lunch Seminar
Rees Broome Offices | Tysons Corner, VA. February 1, 2018
9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Overview: Contractors frequently encounter situations on highway projects where they believe that they are entitled to additional compensation. However, successful recovery depends on compliance with a number of typical contract provisions, and failing to meet these requirements can doom a claim regardless of merit. In addition, even a valid and properly pre-served claim can fail if the contractor has not documented its costs properly.
Topics to be covered include recognition of claim situations, giving proper notice, compliance with scheduling and other specifications, how to avoid releasing claims through the change order process, and how to best document and calculate cost claims for various situations.
The program will include a presentation from Mr. Kasimer as well as the use of work problems, based on actual cases, in order to make the program as practical as possible.
Who Should Attend: The seminar will provide important information for project man-agers and corporate executives.
