to m y teacher and I asked for permission to do this subjec t for m y nex t CKV report and he though t it was oka y. The Big Bang theor y is an American si tcom which iscrea ted b y the direc tors Chuck Lorre and Bill Prad y. Steve M olaro is also one of thehead wri ters of the si tcom the big bang theor y. The si tcom is premièred on thetwen ty- four th of Sep tember 2007 on television . This sitcom is a comed y abou t five people whospend mos t of their time in the same buildingwith each o ther . They are like friends for life andtoge ther the y experience the mos t craz y things .

The m n idea of t he c o m edy.

The most important people in the sitcom are the two room -mates who live togetheron the first floor. Across their apartment lives a girl named Penny, she is a goodfriend of theirs. When the friends saw their new neighbor across, they were

spontaneous love with Penny.The two room-mates have two more friends, they don't live together in the samebuilding, but they visit every day, so you can find those two also in the building allday long. The four friends are like 'The Four Musketeers'. The four friends know eachother of a science fair, they were there when they were little boys and they weresurprised of each other·s knowledge about science. That is how their friendshipstarted.

The two room-mates are geniuses who experiment a lot. Everybody think that theyare the biggest nerds they have ever seen. They are called Sheldon Cooper and

Leonard Hofstadter. The girl across their apartment is Penny, she is an attractiveblonde waitress and she is friends with the two nerds. Penny first was a bit afraid of the two nerds because they know everything and they have an answer to everyquestion, but later on, she started getting used to those nerds and she got t knowthem better. The two other friends are Howard Wolowit z and Rajesh Koothrappali.Those two are also geniuses who experiment a lot. Also they know everything andthey have an answer to every question. The four friends know each other of a sciencefair. The four nerds, share a lot of knowledge and interests. They never ever had agirlfriend, they don·t even dare to talk to any other girls besides Penny.

A lot of people watch this comedy show, because the protagonists are the mostfunny nerd ever. They have a lot of funny comments in the show and it can be veryhilarious.Actually the main idea of the comedy is to make peopl e laugh, that is why it is calleda comedy. The actors who play those gigantic nerds are not that wise in real life, soyou can imagine that this comedy show costs a lot of time and has a lot of greatactors. With this comedy/sitcom, the directors and the actors especially want to makethe audience laugh, but secretly they also want to teach them a bit, that is what thedirectors told in an interview in a daily show.

apar tmen t with his colleague and friend Sheldon Cooper . Thewriters of the si tcom , had from the beginning alread y the ideato le t Leonard and Penn y fall in love in the fu ture of thecomed y.

The charac ter of Sheldon Cooper is ac ted b y the ac tor JimParsons . Sheldon Cooper was ooriginall y born in Eas t Texas , he was a child withexcep tional talen ts or powers who began college a t the age of 11 af ter he comple ted

the fif th grade . He s tarted gradua te s tudies a t the age of 14 . He hasan IQ of 187 . He shows a s trict behavior of a lack of unders tanding

of iron y, sarcasm , and humor; he is also unin teres ted in man y of theroman t ic buffooner y be tween Leonard , Howard , and Raj . Thesecharac teris tics are the main sources of his humor and the basis of anumber of episodes . Sheldon Cooper shares an apar tmen t withLeonard Hofs tad ter , across the hall from Penn y.

The charac ter of Penn y is ac ted b y the ac trice Kale y Cuoco . She is the blonde , "bornand raised in Omaha Nebraskaµ , who lives across the hall from Sheldon Cooper andLeonard Hofs tader . She hopes for a career in ac ting , and hasbeen to cas ting calls and audi tions bu t has no t been successfulso far . To pa y the bills , she is a wai tress a t The CheesecakeFactory. To da te , she did no t wan ted to tell her las t name . During the four th season , Kaley Cuoco broke her leg in a horse -riding acciden t. When she re turned to the show , af ter missingtwo episodes , she was shown working as a bar tender a t thesame café , at the Cheesecake Fac tory, instead of in her normalemplo ymen t as a wai tress .

The charac ter of Howard Wolowi tz is ac ted b y the ac tor Simon Helberg . He works asan aerospace engineer . He is jewish and lives wi th his mo ther . His fa ther lef t when he

was 11 years old , and , to da te , he has never known wh y. He

provides ou trageous pick -up lines and he sees himself as alady·s man wi th sui tably unimpressed reac tions from Penn y;however , he has shown he has totally no experience andsuccess wi th o ther women . He and Bernade tt e Ro tsenkowsiare engaged in the si tcom , further in season four .

The charac ter of Rajesh Koo thrappali is ac ted b y the ac tor Kunal Na yyar. Rajesh , whooriginall y comes from New Delhi in India , works as a par ticle as troph ysicist at Caltech . He is ver y shy around women and is ph ysically unable to talkwith them , unless he drinks alcohol or unless he thinks he hasbeen drinking alcohol . However , he has had much be tt er luck

with women than his overl y confiden t bes t friend Howard . Hisparen ts, Dr. and M rs. V.M . Koothrappali , are seen via webcam . Inthe third season , he works for Sheldon because his research hasrun in to a dead -end and he does no t wan t to re turn to India .

The charac ter of Leslie Winkle is ac ted b y the ac trice Sara Gilber t (recurring seasons 1& 3 , occasionall y starring season 2) Leslie is an experimen tal ph ysicist who has casualsex wi th bo th Howard and Leonard during the show 's airing . She does no t ge t alongwell with Sheldon and frequen tly mocks him . Gilbert was promo ted to main cas t during the second season , bu t demo ted again once the wri ters realized the y could

no t produce quali ty ma terial for her for ever y episode . The charac ter of Bernade tt e Ros tenkowski is ac ted b y the ac trice M elissa Rauch(recurring season 3 , occasionall y starring season 4) She is a wai tress and co -worker of Penn y pa ying her wa y through gradua te school microbiolog y studies . Bernade tt e isintroduced to Howard b y Penn y. At first she and Howard do no t ge t along , as the y appear to have no thing in common . When the y find ou t tha t the y bo th haveoverbearing mo thers , the y feel a connec tion . They are now engaged .

The charac ter of Am y Farrah Fowler is ac ted b y the ac trice M ayim Bialik (gues t season 3 , recurring and occasionall y starring season 4) She is a woman who Raj andHoward mee t on an online da ting si te using a faux accoun t for Sheldon . She is almos t a cop y of Sheldon bu t then in a female version , she and Sheldon become friendsalthough - as Sheldon claims - she is a girl and his friend , bu t she is no t his"girlfriendµ

The func tion of the si tcom is to amuse the wa tchers , bu t because the personages areso clever , the y ma ybe also wan t to teach the wa tchers some thing new abou t science . The direc tors did no t specific used things to keep the a tt en tion of the audience , the y use the talen ts of the ac tors .

I think tha t the si tcom is ver y hilarious . When I saw i t for the firs t time , I though t wha t is this for s tupid nerd program , bu t af ter wa tching i t a couple times more , it striatedto cap tivate me . I think it·s tha t hilarious because the people who pla y in it are soclever tha t is becomes funn y, some commen ts don· t make an y sense , and some areuseless . It makes me laugh and tha t is alwa ys good .
