    FARMERS' MARKETS

New Yorkers can access oods straight rom the arm in two

ways: armers' markets and community supported agriculture

programs or CSAs. CSA members purchase "shares" in an

entire season o high quality, resh produce grown by local

armers. Members usually pay or their shares in advance, but

some CSAs adjust payment to income, accept ood stamp

benets, and allow some members to pay week to week.
