PEAK - Partners Empowering All KidsPEAK (Partners Empowering All Kids) is designed to provide all school age children with educational, enrichment, and recreational activities in a fun and safe environment by keeping schools open until 6 p.m. on school days and turning schools into community centers for kids during the summer months. PEAK began as a 21st Century Community Learning Center funded by the U.S. Department of Education in August 2001. Although grant funding ceased in May 2005, the PEAK program doors remain open through major grants from United Way of Gratiot and Isabella Counties, the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, other community support and nominal tuition. PEAK is administered by the City of Mt. Pleasant Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with Mt. Pleasant Public Schools and in collaboration with a number of local agencies.

We strive to provide a safe environment for all those who attend camps. PEAK is a licensed program that meets internal and external audits annually.

Who Can Attend Children who have completed kindergarten through eighth grade will discover the awesome benefits of education and recreation through a variety of daily activities: sports, crafts, creative expression, cultural and educational enrichments.
