Kindling the maturing independence of 8-10 year olds, these classes encourage a deeper sense of body awareness, self-exploration and interpersonal skills. Classes are alive with flowing sequences, balancing poses, breathing exercises, and creative relaxation techniques. Partner poses and cooperative yoga games will also be included to inspire positive peer interactions that kids are sure to carry into their everyday lives. Classes will meet once a week for 6 weeks. Jr. Lifeguard Program Our Jr. Lifeguard Programs are based on the American Red Cross GuardStart Lifeguarding Tomorrow! GuardStart covers five critical areas including: prevention, fitness, response, leadership and professionalism. All Junior Lifeguards will receive a t-shirt. Bring a lunch and snack. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in the American Red Cross 9th Annual Lifeguard Games competition in San Diego which is held the first week of August.
