COLLEGE LUNCH ON THE LAWN

Women’s Retreat 2015 September 18 & 19 at First and Calvary

Scattered. Unfocused. Too Many Things. Need to Slow Down

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your

everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-

work, and walking around life—and place it before God as

an offering. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture

that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your

attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out.

Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly re-

spond to it. Romans 12: 1-2

Join Lora Hobbs, our guest speaker, as she shares teaching

and guidance on the timely topic of distractions and ways

to recognize God’s voice in the midst of them.

What keeps us distracted, producing anxiety and the ina-bility to focus?

When faced with multiple “good options”, how do wediscern God’s will?

Can we be deceived into thinking we are doing some-thing for God when, really it is for ourselves?

How do we refocus and relax into trust mode?

Registration forms are available in the North Atrium and

church office beginning Sunday, August 2. For more infor-

mation, contact Terri at [email protected].
