Chandlers Farm Equipment I worked part time at Chandlers during school, and during the holidays throughout my education I would provide cover for full time staff taking holiday leave and to account for the busy sections of the calendar year. My role consists of serving customers, answering any enquiries they have, providing advice where necessary and assisting them in making any decisions through face to face contact either in the shop or on the telephone. I have also worked with suppliers, fulfilling the task of processing returns or complaints customers may have about products. I constantly conducted myself in a polite, professional and friendly manner, like hospitals, customer/patient happiness is vital to efficient service and preventing complaints. I wasn’t afraid to seek assistance from senior staff to provide excellent customer service. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and will not give advice unless I have grounded knowledge of the question being asked. If I am directed with a question I cannot answer, after finding someone suitable to answer I will research into the subject myself to ensure I can answer effectively the next time around. This thirst for knowledge has been key to my success as a physiotherapist. Working at Chandlers gave me an important attention to health and safety which is paramount to any work environment, whether this was the safety of the customers due to the nature of our products or my work colleagues in maintaining the store I strived to emulate the standards set for me by management. I consider myself to be hardworking, working within the team to ensure all tasks are competed, helping one another for example when customers pay for a large order of animal food and bedding. I was given the graceful opportunity to stay on working a zero hour contract after attending university. This enabled me to continue employment at Chandlers. This gave me the opportunity to enhance my CV but also effectively manage my time between university and preparing for my future endeavours. I personally believe that any employment opportunity has obvious transferable skills which need to be perfected. Chandlers was a starting point for me where I gained valuable experience not necessarily for physiotherapy but for dealing with customers. I hope to bring excellent customer service alongside my hard gained expertise in physiotherapy to any position/environment I am fortunate to work in.

Chandlers Farm Equipment

I worked part time at Chandlers during school, and during the holidays throughout my education I would provide cover for full time staff taking holiday leave and to account for the busy sections of the calendar year.

Overall Chandlers gave me valuable experience in customer relations as mentioned above. Working with customers and being able to offer exemplary service constantly is not an easy feat to maintain. The time I invested here has enabled to prepare me for the demanding hours of physiotherapy and importance of maintaining a calm and professional demeanour from beginning to end. Finally Chandlers have given me the correct attitude for working in a high stress environment. Personal experience has shown me that the correct attitude to professionalism is just as effective when coupled alongside knowledge and this is what I hope to offer in my career as a physiotherapist.
