Two words
that I will use
to describe
the RITE
Program
are:
Challenging: because it combined so many different methods of learning (lecture, on-line, project, small group, etc.) with so many individuals with different learning styles, backgrounds and strengths, yet with the singular goal of training effective teachers.
Empowering: for the same reasons as stated above. JJ - Monticello Public Schools
Describe yourexperience with RITE
I learned many useful and practical teaching strategies and I enjoyed the dynamic learning environments and programs richly provided by CESA 6. The program coordinator, instructors and staff are very helpful and supportive in helping me growing into an effective educator. AW - World Language, Prairie du Chien School District
Learning
With and
from each
other
The opportunity to collaborate with other RITE candidates during our monthly classes at CESA 6 was invaluable. Ideas we shared of our lives in and out of the classroom made our teaching lives easier. CV - Secondary Science, Marshfield Columbus Catholic Schools
What specific experience or moment did you value most about RITE?
The specific moments that I valued most about
the RITE program were when I realized that the
RITE instructors were just as vested in my
education and excited for my success as I am:-) TB - Special Education, Kewaskum School District
Would you recommend the RITE Program to others? If so why?
I would definitely recommend RITE. In WI there is such a shortage of teachers that anyone can get a CTE teaching job regardless of their training. Given that, I would still choose to participate in the RITE program because it provides valuable lessons and training that I would otherwise miss out on. SS - Technology & Engineering, Seymour Community Schools
RITE Training
There were so many opportunities for hands on and professional experience. More importantly the observations were very effective and applicable. DC - Little Wolf School District
What specific experience or moment did you value most about RITE?
The best moment was getting the results from the EdTPA and realizing that all the instruction and homework from the RITE program helped me get a high score. MM - ESL, Sun Prairie School District
RITE Candidates averaged 44 on
the edTPA Portfolio Spring 2016
What would you have if you
could have what you want in
teacher preparation with the
CESA 6: RITE Program?
InspiredGmail October 15, 2016
Hi Nancy,Just needed to drop an email tonight to you. I was dreading coming to the RITE Program tonight due to a rough, hard, and very eventful week. I am truly exhausted! Once I got to CESA 6 tonight, my entire mood changed for the better. It's amazing to be around others who know what you are going through and who can offer suggestions. Then (as a BONUS!!!) the material that I learned tonight and the presenters were amazing. The content that I am learning and all the tools that I now know are available gives me hope and continued motivation to bring back what I have learned to utilize within my classroom! Even though the program is a lot of work, filled with a ton of new content...I am glad to be part of it! Without this program, I feel that I may be left in the dark to all of the amazing resources that are out there. (Not to mention, the networking that is happening within class is truly comforting!)
So, I guess I just want to say THANK YOU for this opportunity!

Substitute Teacher Training
This event is presented by CESA 6 Educator Licensing.

Our training will teach and engage prospective substitute teachers in activities that mirror real classroom situations. Our certified instructor will model a variety of teaching methods that substitute teachers can use in the classroom. Additionally, participants will gain a deeper understanding of effective teaching principles in order to prepare for future substitute teaching assignments. Training topics ∗ Introduction to substitute teaching ∗ Practical tips and guidelines for being effective in the classroom ∗ Classroom management techniques ∗ Important health and safety information ∗ Age-appropriate learning strategies ∗ Special Education ∗ Sample lesson plans ∗ Substitute teacher permit application process
