∙ Each semester class completed with a passing grade equals a one-half (0.5) credit.

❑ Complete a High School and Beyond Plan during Grades 9-12, using My School Data on Skyward
❑ Meet Standard on State Assessments – Smarter Balanced ELA (English Language Arts), Smarter Balanced MATH (10th Grade) and Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (11th Grade) (WCAS) ❑ 45 Community Service Hours- Grades 10-12 Students may begin earning the Community Service hours in
the Summer after their 9th grade school year.
❏ Student should meet Washington State History requirement during their 8th grade year- High School credit is granted when requested

Algebra 1: By teacher recommendation
Students should speak to their current math teacher and get their approval before enrolling.
Geometry: Maintain at least an 80% average in Algebra 1
Conceptual understanding needed prior to advancing out of Algebra 1
Algebra 2: Maintain at least a 70% average in Geometry
In order to enroll in an advanced math course you need to have a B or better in your current math class, you should also meet or exceed the standard in the area of math on your most recent district or state assessment, and you should have your current math teacher's recommendation signature on your registration form.

Interested candidates wanting to become members of Cavelero’s National Junior Honor Society must meet eligibility requirements. Candidates are required to have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, participate in a group project in addition to completing 4 hours of community service by April 9, 2018.
