I founded H-S Precision, Inc. in May 1978. It started as a small barrel business and has grown into a world-

renowned manufacturer in the gun industry. Our state of the art, 47,000 square foot facility is located in

Rapid City, South Dakota. We manufacture all of the components used to produce our Pro-Series 2000 rifles,

Pro-Series synthetic stocks, stainless steel cut-rifled barrels, stainless steel actions and triggers. We are also the

leading manufacturer of specialized barrels and equipment for ammunition testing. This equipment is used by

all of the major ammunition producers and NATO countries for quality control testing.

In the December 1997 issue of GUNS magazine, Jon Sundra labeled H-S Precision “the Quiet Gun Company.”

He also added that our new Pro-Series 2000 rifles and pistols would change all of that. These Pro-Series

firearms were introduced at the SHOT Show in early 1998. Since that article ten years ago, H-S Precision has

evolved into the leading manufacturer of semi-custom rifles.

Pro-Series 2000 rifles are used by knowledgeable hunters demanding the finest in quality and accuracy.

The Pro-Series 2000 HTR tactical rifles are specified and used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the

Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the Israeli Defense Forces and numerous other tactical teams

around the world. H-S Precision rifles were selected after rigorous testing of rifles from the world’s major

rifle manufacturers.

Our Pro-Series synthetic stocks feature the original aluminum (7075) bedding block chassis system, designed

by H-S Precision in 1982, and a proprietary hand-laminated composite filled with a RIM urethane foam. We

have improved our bedding block by utilizing new CAD/CAM software and machining systems. It has been

copied but never equaled. We have produced over 10,000 stocks for the Army’s M-24 tactical rifle, which

has been in service since 1986. In the January 2000 issue of SHOOTING TIMES, Rick Jamison wrote that

“the aluminum bedding block may very well be the biggest factor in consistently improved accuracy in

production sporter rifles during this century.” He was writing about the H-S Precision bedding block system.

Both Remington and Savage have selected Pro-Series stocks for their most accurate rifles.

H-S Precision produces every major component in-house,

the light weight Sporter to the Heavy Tactical, is built to

We are Reliability. H-S Precision has built over

10,000 M-24 stocks for the US Army with zero warranty

returns. Every Pro-Series stock starts with our aluminum

bedding block system. Multiple layers of fiberglass, Kevlar

and carbon fiber are bonded with structural urethane foam,

which is machine mixed for uniformity. Whether it is a

sporter stock for the discerning hunter or a fully-adjustable

tactical stock, all stocks must meet H-S Precision’s rigorous

standards for reliability.

We are Unique. When the H-S Precision Take-Down

rifle was introduced and patented in 1989, it was the only

switch barrel rifle on the market with an accuracy guarantee.

The interrupted thread system allows adjustment over the

life of the rifle. H-S Precision has modified the rifle from

the original patent, improving the locking mechanism and

function. The Take-Down rifle has evolved into one of the

most unique rifles for hunters who want multiple calibers

and guaranteed accuracy in one package.

There is nothing “standard” about this classic-styled SPR rifle. Available in barrel lengths from 20” to 26”, and

calibers up to 338 Lapua, each rifle is as unique as its owner. To tame the harshest hunting conditions, the

stainless steel barrel and action and other components are Teflon-coated. To further enhance accuracy in any

weather, the composite stock with an integral aluminum bedding block provides a solid mating surface for the

barreled action.

If you are looking for an accurate and light weight rifle, the SPL will fit your needs. This rifle provides the option

of a long or short action caliber with the reduced weight necessary for long stalks in the field. The SPL is available

with optional recoil suppression that is not available from other light weight rifle manufacturers.

The PHL is designed to deliver maximum performance for the serious high-altitude hunter. While light weight,

every component that makes our full line of rifles capable of the highest accuracy has been retained. This

includes our composite stock with an aluminum bedding block, adjustable trigger and our cut-rifled stainless

steel barrel. Other manufacturers may build a lighter weight rifle, but the ½” MOA accuracy guarantee of the

The PHR is the ideal rifle for hunting large and dangerous game. This rifle features extras like a built-in mercury

recoil reducer and cheek piece, that help minimize even the heaviest recoiling calibers like 458 Winchester

Magnum. The use of 8-40 scope base screws improves optic stability. The detachable magazine allows for

quicker reloading. For larger head size cartridges, the magazine extends slightly below the stock line to allow

the shooter 3+1 capacity. Enhanced with an aluminum bedding block, weather extremes have a minimal affect

on accuracy. For close-quarters hunting, the rifle is available with iron sights on the stainless steel, cut-rifled

barrel.

The VAR is the ultimate rifle for hunting small game, yet it boasts outstanding versatility as an all-purpose

hunting rifle. Every stainless steel barrel is cut-rifled to industry minimum dimensions and the customer’s

requested twist rate. This provides the maximum barrel life and greatest accuracy of any varmint rifle on

the market. Every barrel is fluted to reduce harmonic vibrations, promote surface cooling, reduce weight and

enhance balance. For hunters that like to shoot from the prone position, we offer a side-port muzzle brake that

significantly decreases recoil and minimizes the dust signature.

H-S Precision proudly and excitedly returns to its roots with the introduction of the BCR (Benchrest

Competition Rifle). This rifle conforms to NBRSA rules and is ready for competition right out of the box. It

features a single-shot action, competition trigger and an aluminum trigger guard. Additionally, this unique

rifle is chambered in 6 PPC tight-neck or 22 PPC. It is supplied with complete load information, and a 5-shot

test target measuring .250” or less. Other short action calibers are available with our legendary ½” 3-shot 100

yard accuracy guarantee. This rifle will spark a new wave of interest in the competitive shooting world!

The CHR (Classic Hunter Rifle) is H-S Precision’s first offering in a blind-box rifle. The stainless steel internal

magazine box holds 4 belted magnum cartridges and leaves the stock with pure smooth lines. The rifle is

available in both light and heavy configurations. The light weight version features a fluted barrel and modified

composite stock with aluminum bedding block, along with an aluminum trigger guard. The heavier model has

a full-length bedding block stock, steel trigger guard and non-fluted barrel. The CHR will be available in long

action only, and ready for delivery late 2008.

Pistols started the Pro-Series 2000 line of rifles. Both pistols feature 15” stainless steel barrels and center-grip

stocks. Our proprietary trigger mechanism is linked to the sear with a carbon fiber trigger linkage. The silhouette

model conforms to IHMSA competition weight and rules. Scott Mann of California uses a SP chambered in

7mm BR, and recently set a world-record 39/40 targets at 500 yards! The VP adds new challenge to varmint

hunting. Both pistols utilize our single-shot stainless steel receivers that accept Remington Model 7 mounts.

F-Class competition is a quickly growing sport for competitive shooters. The FCR is designed to compete

straight out of the box. The rifle is available in short or long action, and in chamberings such as 6.5x284. With

multiple barrel lengths, stocks, and accessories available, this rifle can be made as individual as its user.

The STR offers tactical shooters a compact package with high maneuverability. It is available in short action

only, featuring a 20” barrel and fully adjustable stock. The second-generation detachable magazine system

provides users with quick reloading, five-round capacity, and the secure lock of front and rear magazine

catches. The recessed 11º target crown provides superior protection against muzzle damage, while the cut-

The RDR is quick to respond to any tactical situation. Combining the lighter weight of our varmint barrel

contour at 20” long and stocks with short forends, this rifle is ideal for situations where it needs to be carried

Take-Down

PortableAll Take-Down rifles utilize our proprietary interrupted thread design allowing the rifle to disassemble into equal-length pieces. Multiple calibers can be fired from the same action simply by changing barrels and bolts if the caliber is a different head size. With our custom-fit travel cases, all components (including scopes and spare magazines) can be safely packaged in a suitcase-looking vault for travel.

UniqueH-S Precision was granted United States Patent number 5,020,260 for the Take-Down rifle system. The key to the system is the lock-up lever and adjustment nut. As the fit of the barrel to receiver threads wear during assembly and disassembly, the adjustment nut turns to allow the system to remain tight and accurate. Every Take-Down rifle is custom-built to the user’s specifications. Additionally, the Take-Downs meet our legendary accuracy guarantee when assembled and sighted-in.

Original. H-S Precision’s stocks were the first composite stocks with aluminum bedding blocks to be used as original equipment by firearm manufacturers. This list includes Remington, Winchester, Weatherby, Steyr, CZ-USA, and Savage Arms. Our bedding block was the first of its kind and our hand-laid composite structure is the toughest available. Our stocks are not reverse-engineered copies of someone else’s ideas, nor are they knock-offs made from inferior materials. If your stock isn’t strong enough to park your car on, it’s not an H-S Precision.

Solid. Every action needs a solid surface to bolt itself to for maximum rigidity during recoil. H-S Precision pioneered molding our aluminum bedding block into a composite stock. These stocks gained such a reputation for toughness and reliability that they were selected by Remington and the United States Army as the stock for the M-24 Sniper Weapon System. Every bedding block is precision machined and carefully inspected to ensure the best possible fit.

Simple. The aluminum bedding block allows the user to remove the barreled action from the old stock and bolt it into our stock. No messy bedding of the action to the stock. No inletting to achieve the proper fit of the action, trigger, recoil lug, or floor plate. H-S Precision designed the stocks with the user in mind. The barreled action can be removed from the stock for cleaning and maintenance and reassembled with no point of impact change! The non-glare urethane finish provides texture to the stock’s outer surface, providing excellent grip in the harshest conditions.

Durable. Our stocks are guaranteed. The original owner may return the stock for any problems due to materials or workmanship defects. An investment in a Pro-Series stock will last a lifetime.

H-S Precision is the world’s leading supplier of pressure, velocity

and accuracy test barrels. Ammunition companies such as Olin,

Remington, Federal, Hornady, PMC, and powder companies such

as Primex (Winchester Powders), Hodgdon, IMR, and Accurate

Powders all specify H-S Precision ballistic test barrels for their

critical quality control requirements. Ballistic test barrels are also

supplied to numerous U.S. Government agencies and foreign

governments around the world. H-S Precision is the only NATO

certified test barrel company.

H-S Precision’s ballistic test barrels are manufactured with the

same exacting specifications as our Pro-Series match grade barrels.

The main difference is that all ballistic test barrels must conform

dimensionally to SAAMI, CIP or military drawings. We use only

416 or 416R stainless steel that is heat-treated and stress relieved to

our specifications. H-S Precision ballistic test barrels are produced

in all calibers from 17 Rem through 50 cal. BMG. Shotshell and

rifled shotgun barrels are also available. H-S Precision produces

all necessary tooling, such as reamers and rifling heads. This in-

house tool production and the cut rifling process allow the timely

production of almost any experimental or prototype barrel. H-S

Precision also installs any type of pressure port and can supply

piezo port plugs and pressure pistons.
