FOREWORD

Casey is an experienced on-set photographer who has the natural ability to capture the essential mood of his subjects. His current portfolio reflects his brilliant still imagery including projects such as The Hot Zone, Ulysses S. Grant, The Looming Tower, Origins: The Story of Humankind and Roots for National Geographic and History Channels. Images from these projects have been used extensively throughout the world at television markets to publicize these critically acclaimed series. Casey’s strength lies in his ability to capture both enduring and demanding action scenes as well as close up character detail which he achieves in drama projects, making him the perfect all-round photographer on set.

PHILOSOPHY Motion picture still photography for me is a tightrope of creativity and productivity. I understood from early on in my career that relationships with crew and cast are the fundamental building blocks to a successful project. One can only develop creatively if there is trust and report for oneself as a photographer within this close knit and sometimes pressured environment. With this approach in trust I am able to creatively accomplish both empathetic and adventurous imagery. I enjoy going the extra mile to capture that fleeting moment of explosive action or explore an angle that requires a remote controlled camera to capture a different perspective, always looking for the unique satisfaction when you, as a photographer know, you’ve got the shot.
