Phoenicia, Sept. 30.—"rae Onteora Indian gridders won their second straight Saturday afternoon, downing Wallkill, 26- 14, a t Wallkill. The Indians go undefeated into their encounter against Red Hook on the Boiceville field Saturday afternoon.

The Wallkill contest was highlighted by Fullback Joe Phelan’s 57-yard touchdown run in the second period. Phelan galloped for 100 of the 254 yards gained on the ground by the Indians.

Onteora took a first-period lead, which was never relinquished. Both teams scored two touchdowns in the second period, and Onteora pushed another across in the third, following Center Mark Gallagher’s recovery of a Wallkill fumble.

The Indians were frustrated by a stubborn Wallkill defense in the final quarter when they were unable to push across from a first down on the one- yard line.
