I was going to disassemble my laptop computer to see if it needed to be cleaned. I

wanted to take some pictures of te inside of it. I got my camera out, and te battery

was dead. !en I went to carge it, my carger was dead" #o it$s time to fi% my

carger. I went aead and ordered a new carger wit & e%tra batteries on 'bay. (ow

wen one carger )uits I$ll a*e a spare, after I fi% tis one.

I took it apart using a screwdri*er because it looked like it +ust snapped togeter. Icouldn$t take many pictures beforeand because I didn$t a*e a camera. But I ad my

digital microscope.

!en I opened it up, I cecked for *oltage on te primary side ecaps, and tere was no

*oltage. #o I remo*ed te #- Bridge /ectifier B#10, and it was bad. I ordered

some new ones -B10 from -ouser.com. I also ordered some (3 3ermistors

because te one on te 5B #607& as a little crack at te top of one lead8 but it

cecked ok after I remo*ed it, using an nalog meter on 91: ; it sowed a low

It still wouldn$t come on and te =' didn$t come on. 3e =' cecked ok. !en I

took it apart, I noticed te otside ecaps were carged, but not te ecaps on te cold

side. ll of te ecaps cecked ok, and te transistor also.

#o I crossed my fingers and cecked te transformer ; it cecked good. I was going to

put some fres leaded solder on it anyway. 3e carger still wasn$t working so I

cecked te resistors > diodes and tey were good. I was oping tere was a bad

connection on one of te pins8 but te carger still wasn$t working.

I ordered te newPeak Atlas LCR45because I didn$t a*e a good meter for testing

inductors. 3e 5B ad 2 trougole inductors on te top side. I was going to get te

=/40, but wen I went to teir website at natekcorp.com. I noticed te new meter

was a*ailable ; te =/47 wit many impro*ements. #o I bougt it. I left te carger

alone until my new meter got ere.

fter my meter got ere, I remo*ed te 2 inductors on te top side of te 5B and
