From the Principal’s Office Cross Country What an excellent morning this morning was for our cross county event! I want to thank the staff for their organisation and commitment to the day and the way they managed the students. I enjoyed seeing the effort put in by all students as they did their best – from the fliers up the front to those who just concentrated on get-ting over the line – a great result for all. Thanks, too, to all of the parents who showed up to support the stu-dents and those who volunteered to be course mar-shalls. Students will be awarded their real medals on parade on Friday.
Changes to Teaching Arrangements – Yr3 and Yr5/6 There will be some changed teaching arrangements for the Year 3 and Year 5/6 classes next term. I have sent a letter to these parents today as I wanted them to know first. Please check your school bags and if you have any questions get in touch with me.
Year 2/3 students to Amaroo Last Friday the Year 2 and Year 3 classes went on an ex-cursion to Amaroo. It was an excellent day with plenty of fun and engaging activities and the students had a great time. It was especially pleasing to be complement-ed on their behaviour by the Principal (a long time col-league) who said it was fantastic finish to his week.

One Term Finished! As my first term draws to a close I want to acknowledge all of the people who made my first term at Cambooya such an enjoyable and rewarding one. To the parents who have welcomed me and continue to support the school. School Photos
School Photos will be held this Wednesday 29th March. Photo envelopes have been sent home. If you have paid for your photos online, you still need to send in your enve-lope with the online receipt information written in the bot-tom corner. If you order sibling photo it is very important that this is done because without an envelope your children will not get their photo’s taken. If you would like a family photo, envelopes are available from the office. Family pho-to’s will be taken from 8:30am so if your child could go straight over to the library on arrival if they are to have a family photo it would be appreciated.
Library Books Returned All library books must be returned by Wednesday 29th March for Mrs Wick to enter them back into our system. If you have misplaced your library book please see Mrs Wick.
Easter Service We would like to thank Mrs Bernier for all the work she puts into the Easter Service. Also would like to thanks Mrs Leard & Mrs Barltrop for helping Mrs Bernier with the Easter Ser-vice.

Year 2 - Welcome to week 10! Last week for the term and it’s going to one very busy time! On Monday we have our cross country (today), our Easter service is on Monday afternoon, Wednesday is school photo day, Thursday is the pub-lic holiday for the Toowoomba show and Friday we have our reward day! Amongst all of this, we will be very busy fin-ishing off assessment and participating in some fun Easter activities! A reminder to those students who borrow library books, to make sure that these are all brought back to school this week (Tuesday is our Library day), so Mrs Wick can get our library ready to start again next term! There will be no Homework or before school reading this week. Last week we went to Amaroo and I am extremely proud to say how well behaved, focussed and interested the year 2’s were in the program. It is always so lovely to hear positive comments from staff that do not attend our school! We had a lot of fun learning about camouflage and lifecycles and I am sure our favourite activity was the clay animals! Well Done year 2’s! We are also extremely excited to announce that two of our tadpoles have LEGS! We hope everyone has a great, fun, safe and relaxing holiday! From Miss Brigden and the Year 2s.
Year 3 - Welcome to Week 10! We have 4 days left of term and lots on. Today is Cross Country and the Easter service, Wednesday is school photos, Thursday is the show holiday (enjoy the day off) and Friday is rewards day! Homework, library borrowing and reading groups are finished for the term. We are conducting a measurement based guided in-quiry this week in Maths, and continue to look at character representations in narratives. I’d like to thank all parents and students for the great start to the year that we’ve had, and to wish you all a safe break and a happy Easter!
Year 4/5 - Welcome to Week 10, the final week of Term 1! Our class is very close to reaching the floor with our class
gotcha chain which means that we will be having our movie and popcorn party possibly on Wednesday, to which stu-
dents can bring a toy or pillow to accompany them. Students will need to wear full school uniform on Wednesday as we
have school photos. This week we will be wrapping up our science assessment, publishing our English assessment and
wrapping up all of our units for the term. I hope you all have a great holiday and we will see you back in Term 2! Miss
Leece
Year 5/6 - We have made it to the end of a very busy term. This week is full of activity! Well done to all students for their effort with the cross country today. Well done also to the sports captains for their efforts over the last few weeks, in organising lunch time cross country training sessions. We still have a bit of assessment and finishing up units to hap-pen this week. So attendance is as important as usual. This week is an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and good behaviour of our students. Many students have been cashing in their Gotcha tokens for free time, ice blocks, milk shakes etc. A special mention must go to Charlotte Piper, who was the only student in the school to save 15 tokens (150 gotchas), she will be enjoying a special pizza party with Mr Wilson. We are also very much looking forward to the whole class celebrity party this Wednesday afternoon. Please remember that School photos are on Wednesday, so students must come to school in their uniform and will be able to change at lunch. As a whole school, we will also be having a session of reward activities on Friday in the middle session. We wish you all a safe and enjoy-able Easter holiday. Joan Erbacher and Kelly Robertson
