Dr.PratapSinh Kaka Saheb Desai, President, Indian Society for Technical

Education visited Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET),

Coimbatore and interacted with Dr.J.Janet, Principal. The Institutional key

achievements and Best practices were presented by Principal and a Campus visit

to view the facilities was also organized. CoE, Heads of Departments and Placement

Officer were present during the interaction.

FACILITIES VISIT





ENTREPRENEURIAL EXERCISES INSIDE THE CAMPUS

“DST funded SEED project for developing women Entrepreneurs in the

field of millet food production to ensure nutritional security” is being

implemented in our campus. Principal Madam is the Scientific Mentor of

the project along with Dr.M.Sujaritha and Dr.S.Sophia as the Principal

Investigators.

To encourage the Gen-ZKids to taste the healthy snacks, various products

were displayed in our premises wherein students enthusiastically bought

the products from the stall.

As a part of this project, the „Cookies manufacturing unit‟ has been

constructed and the equipment such as Planetary Mixer with 60 Litres

capacity, Cookies Dropping with wire cut Machine in PLC Model with 7

nozzle, Bakery Oven with 120 bread capacity and Packing Machine have

been installed in the unit as per the project plan.

The project coordinator Mrs. Padma and Field assistant Mr.Suresh have

involved in the production, training and sales processes in the campus.






The following activities have been performed in the campus related to this project:

Value added products from millets such as bread, cookies, laddu, biscuits etc. have been

produced in the unit regularly and the quality of the products has been assessed.

Brochures, Pamphlets and Notices indicating the details of the training programme on

“Processed Food Entrepreneur - Millet Products” have been prepared and distributed

to the nearby villages .

Promotion Activities such as organizing campaigns and participating in the exhibitions

and demo sessions have been conducted.






Key Activities:

Received Curriculum Compliance Certificate for the course “Processed Food

Entrepreneur-Millet Products” from NSDC-FICSI . The duration of the course is 40

days and the course is being conducted in the campus regularly.

We have completed the training programme on “Processed Food Entrepreneur-Millet

Products” for one batch and trained 20 women candidates so far

FICSI has accepted to conduct the assessment for the trainees and issue the certificate

to the passed candidates. Obtained Institutional membership from the Directorate of

Agri Business Development, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.





S&H- TAMIL LITERARY CLUB ACTIVITY

Tamil Literary Club of SHA conducted an Essay Writing Competition on the topic

‘மனம் திறந்து ஒரு மடல்‟. This event paved way for the students to develop

the creative and critical thinking skills. The First year students actively took part in

the event and surged their emotions.

Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology has participated in e-Integrity pledge as mandated by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) for citizens to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and honesty. The theme for this year's vigilance awareness week is "public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption".

4163 students and 417 faculty fraternity of our Institution have administered this pledge and received their certificates.

S&H- SPORTS ACHIEVEMENT

A. Medhun Krishnaa, First year student of Mechatronics Engineering B section has

won the Third prize in 29th Tamilnadu State Roller Skating Championship 2019

conducted at Nehru Stadium, Chennai from 7th-10th November 2019.





CSBS - EXTENDED HOUR COACHING

Extended hour coaching was conducted for the Second year CSE C (TCS) students by Mr. J. Daniel Francis Selvaraj, CSBS for the subject „Software Engineering‟.

World Kindness Day is celebrated annually on 13th November. It is an International

observance which aims to highlight the good deeds in the community focusing on the

positive power and the common thread of kindness which binds every human being.

It bridges the divides of race, religion, politics and gender and zip codes.
