S&H-BLOOMING BUDS 3.0

The gleeful event Blooming Buds 3.0 was organized by department of Science and

Humanities which themed with a conviction of merrymaking with the foundlings at

Coimbatore to commemorate Children’s Day celebrations. The event was presided

by our revered Principal Madam. The day witnessed the feeling of togetherness,

sense of belonging and bonding of a family.

CSE/ MCA - AICTE FDP ON DEEP LEARNING AND COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN BIOINFORMATICS

Department of Computer Applications (MCA) and Computer Science and

Engineering(CSE) is organising an AICTE sponsored Two Weeks FDP on ‘Deep

Learning And Computational Intelligence In Bioinformatics’ from 18th November-

1st December 2019. The inaugural function of the FDP was conducted today.

Dr.D.Prabha, FDP Coordinator, CSE delivered the Welcome address. Dr.P.Shanthi,

FDP Coordinator, MCA introduced the Chief guest of the day, Mr.Gokul

Rengarajan, Senior Manager, Operations & Delivery, Codingmart. In his inaugural

address, he gave a plenary talk on Deep Learning, its benefits and applications in the

domain of Computer vision.

Five Days Inter College Industrial training program on ‘LabVIEW and NI

Technology’ is organised by Department of EEE from 18th - 22nd November 2019.

of the training programme.

Dr.T.Latha Maheswari, Department of CSE and Ms.G.Shobana, Department of IT

have attended one day Faculty Development Program on ‘Machine learning

program’ held at Imarticus Learning, Coimbatore. Various machine learning

algorithms were discussed using hands-on session in R-programming and Tableau.





AICTE FDP – DEEP LEARNING FOR PATTERN RECOGNITION

Dr.D.Jude Hemanth, Associate Professor, Department of ECE, Karunya Institute

of Technology & Sciences, Coimbatore exhorted the faculty members to utilize

the opportunity to the maximum and gave a very informative and scintillating talk

on ‘Deep Learning Approach for Pattern Recognition Applications’. This session

aimed to equip the participants with deep learning knowledge, which can help

academicians and research scholars to develop their skills in the cutting edge

technology of deep learning and the blend of science with technology.

MCT : FACULTY - TECHNOLOGY CERTIFICATION

Mr. T. Vignesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechatronics Engineering has

completed an online course on ‘Fundamentals of Deep Learning for Computer

Vision’ certified by NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute as a part of the Faculty

Development Program on ‘Machine Learning and Deep Learning for Real Time

Stream Analytics’ at Mepcoschlenk Engineering College.





AICTE FDP – DEEP LEARNING FOR PATTERN RECOGNITION

Hands-on training on ‘Neural Networks Program using Matlab’ was conducted.

The session scope was MATLAB and Deep Learning Toolbox, command-line

functions and apps for creating, training and simulating shallow neural networks.
