Burj Khalifa is the tallest man-made building in the world that is designed by chief architect Adrian Smith and Bill Baker as the chief structural engineer. It stands at a fantastic height of 2716 feet or 828m. It was welcomed with a marvellous celebration of laser show and fireworks on 4th January, 2010. It has the most stories and the highest occupied floor of any building in the world. It has been built in a 'Y' shape by means of three wings to keep the weight balanced. It comprises of Armani hotel, magnificent pools, 37 floors of high-tech office space, an elite residents' lounge, together with a privileged cigar club, 900 Dubai residences, and a splendid dine restaurant along with an observation deck on the 124th floor.

It was named in honour of the crucial supporter and the current president of the UAE and king of Abu Dhabi, Khalifa bin Sayed Al Nahyan.

The prime goal behind the construction of this skyscraper was to divert the country's image from a debt-ridden oil-producing country to a tourist Mecca producing necessary income.

The world's tallest skyscraper makes use of 57 double-decker elevators to present an ultramodern look.

To avoid the hot summers, the exterior portico contains 22,000 cladding panels. These are made of a reflective glazing that produce a vivid impression of copious stainless steel tubular erect fins along with aluminium and textured stainless steel spandrel panels.

The antenna height of Burj Khalifa was charged at $1.5 billion.
