The Burj Khalifa, at 2,723 feet, is currently the tallest structure in the world. Construction began in September of 2004 and the doors were opened in January of 2010. The structure is home to 30,000 residences, 9 hotels, 19 residential towers, Dubai Mall, acres of parkland, and a 30-acre lake.
