NUMBER YOUR DAYS Next Sunday we begin a new series for Lent when we reexamine the ways we practice our piety. The word “pious” has a negative connotation, perhaps because so many have practiced their piety in ways Jesus warned against: stewardship for

show, prayer for public praise, fasting for face-value. What if we tried to live a lifetime of storing up real treasures? In each of the Gospel passages a word or phrase of time is mentioned. How do we number our days so we may gain hearts of wisdom?
