Keith joined the business in 1994 progressing through the organisation to his current position of General Manager in 2007. Keith is a qualified electrician with 20+ years experience in managing teams.

Keith gained a thorough working knowledge in heating, ventilation and air conditioning control systems, building management systems and energy efficiency systems through his time with Bonlec in the Cairns and Townsville branches.

As General Manager, Keith is responsible for managing a team of 40+ across 4 branches to continue the specialist electrical work Bonlec has built its reputation on. He keeps his technical knowledge up to date, providing back up to his trades and design team if required.

Keith prides himself and his team on exceptional customer service, building long term working relationships with clients, suppliers, staff and industry. He brings an approachable attitude and high standards to the table each and every time.

LEADERSHIPBonlec has branches in Cairns, Hughenden, Mackay and Townsville with a workforce of 40+ staff including subcontractors positioned to provide 24 hour a day, 7 day a week rapid response for clients.

The leadership team of Bonlec works with each of their teams to ensure they are best placed to provide excellence in safety, quality and value for clients across regional Queensland.

Martin established the business in 1984 to meet the needs of industry in regional Queensland.

Martin is a qualified electrical contractor with a passion for research and development. He has developed multiple patented designs to assist industry in regional Queensland.

Martin is the sole Director of Bonlec and its sister company Bontech. His approach to innovation has fostered the growth of a company with continuous improvement at its core. He has built the business from just himself in 1984 to 40+ staff and 4 branches across north and west Queensland some 30 years on.

Martin’s role with Bonlec provides strategic direction and leadership to the organisation. His day to day work sees him continue his research and development role continually finding new challenges that smarter electrical workmanship and design can overcome. His love of regional Queensland keeps him grounded in the north, looking after special innovation projects across north and west Queensland.

DEAN GALBRAITH

Dean started with the business in 1998. He is an electrician by trade and has managed the Cairns branch since 2007. Under Dean’s leadership, the Cairns branch has flourished, growing from strength to strength even during tough economic times.

Dean leads the Cairns team to provide high quality service throughout Cairns and surrounding regions. His enthusiasm and willingness to provide great service to many and varied clients has continued to foster business growth. He has developed great working relationships in the far northern region with customers, consulting engineers, suppliers and industry.

In addition to Australian projects, Dean also supports clients in Papua New Guinea and Tanzania establishing an international service for Bonlec.

LUKE PHILLIPS

Luke started with Bonlec in 2001 working his way through the organisation from labourer to electrician to manager. Luke attended and successfully completed night schooling to obtain year 10 and 11 passes to enable him to begin an electrical apprenticeship with Bonlec. Luke successfully completed his Electrical Apprenticeship, won Bonlec Apprentice of the Year in 2004 and became a very committed and competent tradesman.

In 2009, Luke relocated to the Mackay branch and was promoted to Branch Manager in 2010 as a direct result of his hard work and great rapport with his staff and clients. Under Luke’s leadership, the Mackay branch has grown in numbers, knowledge and capability. 

Luke leads the Mackay team to provide high level specialist electrical services to the Mackay and surrounding region.

Chris has been with Bonlec since 2010. He is an electrician by trade and has completed post trade qualifications in facilities management, switchboard design and building management systems. In addition he has developed distribution switchboard capability to complement the controls and mechanical services switchboard business Bonlec had developed previously.

Uppermost in Chris Cook’s priorities is to supplement and protect the enviable service model Bonlec has established in the 30+ year history of the company.

Under Chris’s leadership, the Townsville branch has developed specialist electrical solutions and energy efficiency solutions for the broad range of sectors operating from north Queensland.

Chris continues to develop the capability of the organisation through ongoing innovation work across a range of sectors including conservation and environmental protection work.

BILL ROGERSHUGHENDEN MANAGERTel 0427 472 [email protected]

Bill is a local Hughenden boy, and a fully qualified fitter and turner. He has worked with Bonlec and Bontech for over 10 years, and is well respected in the north west area.

Bill is passionate about what he does and is proud of the relationships and reputation he has built in the western Queensland region.

Bill manages the Bonlec enquiries in western Queensland as well as managing operations for Bonlec’s sister company; Bontech.

Bill’s understanding of the region and the needs and challenges faced by cattle producers and others in the area is what sets his service apart from others.

Under Bill’s management, the organisation has continued to deliver results for clients across many sectors.

This is not just for the obvious cost saving for the client but also for the minimisation of the environmental impact our infrastructure has. The Bonlec environmental policy calls for a continuous improvement approach to reducing the impact on the environment through every stage of our service.

COMMUNITYINVOLVEMENTBonlec is committed to supporting the communities that have supported the organisation for over 30 years. In addition to regular charitable donations, Bonlec sponsors local junior cricket, soccer and rugby league teams, giving much needed support to the youth in the community.

Our commitment to community involvement extends to our work experience, traineeship and apprenticeships programs. Bonlec hosts administration and electrical work experience students from local high schools to get their start in the industry. The Bonlec traineeship and apprenticeship program is very successful providing rewarding careers and giving back opportunities to the communities that have supported Bonlec over the years. Many of the Bonlec trainees and apprentices are still employed with Bonlec today.
