The Fraud Prevention Seminar was heldearlier this month. The nominatingcommittee for LOBR is working on the slateof officers/directors for 2018. If you wouldbe interested in being involved with theboard, please let Linda Yelton, Bill Johnsonor Kathy Hagan know. We would encourageyou to participate!

The meeting was called to order by Vice President Bill Johnson at 9:01 am.A Motion was made, seconded and passed to accept the minutes of the last meeting as emailed.
Committee Reports:MLS Committee:A Motion was made, seconded and passed to add the following MLS Rule or Policy: Auction properties may beincluded in the MLS service if the listing broker has a valid exclusive right to sell or an exclusive agency listing, thefull gross listing price is stated on the listing contract, compensation is offered and the property is available forshowing. If a listed property is to be auctioned at a specific date, that information must be included in the privateremarks section of the listing. Factors effecting the compensation offered must also be clearly stated in the privateremarks section of the listing. The status of the listing must be changed to “Withdrawn” as soon as cooperationand/or compensation are no longer offered.
The small utilization of Rate Plug by members was discussed.
A discussion of the LOZ MLS App, now available to members took place.
A discussion occurred regarding the Matrix Task force planning to consider Handicap and Wheelchair modifiedfields/indicators. It was recommended that legal advice may be necessary regarding these considerations.
A Motion was made, seconded and passed approving proposed Matrix 5 year contract but to negotiate “1-Click” to beincluded as a perk, if we agree to the 5 year contract.
New Offices and New Members:A Motion was made, seconded and passed approving the new offices:3D Realty (reinstated), Todd Appraisal, Inc., Buy and Sell at the Lake, and Exit All American Realty

Old BusinessInformation provided from NAR was discussed regarding the requirement, previously approved in May’s BOD meeting,to live or work within a certain geographical area for mandatory MLS membership. It was approved by BOD that weproceed and send it to the MLS committee for their discussion and approval.

A Motion was made, seconded and passed approving the following members to the Nominating Committee: KathyHagan, Bill Johnson, Ann Davidson, Phyllis Flinn, Ellen Tietmeyer, Beth Riggins
A Motion was made, seconded and passed approving the purchase of a full page ad for the Shootout open house dayin the Shootout Program Guide.

Mission Statement: Lake of the Ozarks Board of REALTORS® (LOBR) will enable membersto be successful in the real estate industry by providing professional, ethical and community-minded services and by being a leading advocate for private property rights.
Advocacy: Be seen by the public, media, and elected officials as the leading advocate for
private property rights and real property ownership.o Distribute On Common Ground Magazine to elected officials.o Encourage member participation on government committees and ad hoc
groups and attend open government meetings.o Support Realtor Party champions with financial and grassroots resources.
Strive for 100% participation on NAR and State calls for action and RPACinvestment among membership.
o Include the RPAC investment “above the line” on the annual dues bill.o Educate members at every opportunity on why RPAC is a Realtors’ best
investment in their business.o Promote participation in Calls for Action.
Consumer Outreach: Be the “Voice for Real Estate” and promote market statistics and/or real estate
trends and issues and their impact on consumers.o Highlight local, state and national real estate data in news releases and

Enhance Community Involvement to promote the value proposition of using aRealtor and engage in community activities that improve the image of Realtorsand showcase the Lake of the Ozarks region.
o Apply for NAR Realtor® Party grants like Housing Opportunity,Placemaking, or Expanding Homeownership Opportunities.
Leadership and Membership: Ensure that the association’s structure and processes are strategically focused,
fiscally responsible and encourage participationo Maintain access to legal counsel.o Submit an annual Accountant’s Review to NAR.o Grow membership.
Educate Realtors® about industry trends, best practices and ethical standards. Promote Affiliate membership and participation in all facets of the association
through education and communication.o Assign NRDS# to Affiliate Members (Friend level and higher).o Showcase individual Affiliate at events.
Increase awareness of resources available to members.o Promote benefits at association events.o Highlight a resource in monthly publication.
