We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty. Mother Teresa.

Blessed Sacrament School with the help of Ms. Romanow’s is organizing Mom’s Pantry fundraising. Orders and money are due by February 12, 2019. Orders can be picked up by the end of February or early March. More information and forms in the foyer.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FAMILY DAY SUPPER

The Knights of Columbus are hosting a supper for families of the parish on Family Day, which is Monday, February 18, at the Church hall.

We would like to invite you and your families ( and especially the children) to come and enjoy some time together.

Our menu for the evening, is hamburgers and hot-dogs with salads, fruit, and desert.

Supper will be served from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm, so that you can come when it is convenient for you. There is no charge, but if you would like to bring a potluck desert that would be great.

So that we have an idea of how much food to prepare please put your name and number of the people on the sign-up sheet at the back of the Church or call Harry Loonen at 780-842-5659 and leave a message about how many are coming. Please respond by Feb 17.

Living in the Word: ̶ ̶ ̶ Baptism makes us missionary disciples, endowed with many gifts and talents for the service of others in the name of the Lord. If a person is baptized in infancy as I was, it is very easy to take for granted the wondrous gift bestowed by that sacrament. Pope Francis wants us to

be fully aware of what it means to be baptized, to rejoice in the gift, and to embrace completely the Christian way of living. Archbishop Smith, Pastoral Letter, September 14, 2017) https://caedm.ca/Letter
