Boco Rigging System• Moon Clamps set at 22ft. Centers for primary cables tosupport boards.• Moon Clamps set at 18ft. Centers for safety nets.• 1/2" Cable attached to Moon Clamps over a max. distanceof 50ft. span.• Aluminum staging boards attached to primary support cablesusing safety hooks.• Safety nets attached using safety hooks to secondary cables.• 3 x Horizontal lifeline cables at 6ft. manufacturers recommendations.• OSHA boards to be connected to needle beams using
rope lashings with cleats.• Correct manual handling techniques to be used when
lifting or carrying boards.

BIS Salamis can confirm that it possesses the firstGOM fully engineered cable rigging access system that is fullysafety rated to a minimum factor of 2.1. The system has beenutilized extensively both domestically and overseas (West Africaand North Sea) and is certified to meet both the exacting NorthSea UK HSE standards and ANSI A10.14 - 1991 American NationalStandard plus the intent of OSHA 1926.501.
The Boco cable rigging system utilizes a system of cables and clampswhich allows effective, multi purpose access to the followingoffshore installation areas: Underside (45+ level), Production DeckLevel, Waterline MLW plus 15 foot level and helidecks. All the saidareas have been accessed successfully in support of Salamis ServicesPainting and blasting programs since 1984.
This system requires the use of specially designed Boco MoonClamps that attach to main support Structural Support I-beams.
Independent Moon Clamps and cables are used to install debrisnets, a second set of Moon Clamps and cables for the purpose ofsupporting the Aluminum Pic Boards, OSHA Certified WoodenScaffold Boards and Personnel.
Finally, another independent set of cable is used as a horizontalfall protection system that ensures 100% “Hookup” at all times forthe personnel. The Boco system has a 100% safety record over the19 years of use and development by Salamis Services Inc.
In summary the Boco system provides a stable work platform thatcan be erected in a minimal amount of time versus conventionalscaffolding systems by multi disciplined trades personnel thusproviding considerable cost savings.
