1. THE CUSTOMER
• Location: France
• Business: centrally-located organic food stores
• Number of stores: 11
• Average sales area: 300 m²
• Number of ESLs per store: 3,000
• Aisles equipped: all except for the deli, fruit
and vegetables and loose food sections
2. CONTEXT
Due to the nature of the organic food market,
retailers must monitor their competitors’ prices
continually. Therefore, price changes are very
frequent and the only way of responding fast
enough is to use electronic shelf labels. SES’s
system updates prices automatically, which gua-
rantees efficient pricing for customers and saves
time for staff in the store. Bio C’ Bon very quickly
decided to differentiate itself from its competitors
by adopting electronic shelf labeling technology,
the advantages of which have already been de-
monstrated in the food retail industry.

3. SPECIFIC NEEDS
Bio C’Bon was looking for a reliable, easy-to-use system. SES’s solution meets these needs, as it is intuitive and adaptable, and ensures the secure
transmission of data to labels.
Just because we sell organic products doesn’t mean we have to deprive our-selves of technology, especially since we use much less paper as a result.

In fact, SES’s system is compatible with all back-
office systems and cash registers, so stores do not
need to change their daily routines.
In addition, SES was able to offer very short deli-
very lead times, even installing its system in some
new stores just a few days before they opened.
6. OUTCOME
Three stores have already been equipped with
electronic labels, and the results are up to ex-
pectations. Bio C’ Bon now has a fully automated
system, which enables it to respond quickly to its
4. WHY SES?Bio C’Bon was looking for a company able to pro-
vide a turnkey solution, a company that could sup-
ply and manage all the components that make up
an electronic labeling system: radio transmission
system, software, mountings, POP advertising,
anti-theft system, etc. All of this combined with
a flexible logistics execution system (based on a
network of local and highly responsive engineering
teams) makes SES a very reliable company to work
with.
5. IMPLEMENTATION
The fact that the new computer system integrated
so seamlessly into the existing infrastructure was
an important factor, which greatly facilitated the
smooth running of the project.
competitors’ price initiatives. SES rose to the challenge with success, thanks to its efficient logistics and deployment systems. It will continue to provide
operating assistance where required, through its software support and maintenance service.
7. OUTLOOK
Bio C’ Bon now plans to roll out the solution to 4 new stores (which are due to open by the end of the year) and to replace existing systems in other
stores on a case-by-case basis.
