IAM3D Challenge provides mechanical and multi-disciplinary undergraduate students around the world an opportunity to:

• Show their creativity and ingenuity by leveraging sound design principals and additive manufacturing technologies

• re-engineer existing products or create new designs that minimize energy consumption and/or improve energy efficiency

• demonstrate the value added to address a broad spectrum of industrial, manufacturing, and humanitarian challenges

ENTRY• Open to ME and Multidisciplinary Engineering students worldwide

– Students may enter as individuals or as 2-3 person teams

– No limit on number of individuals or teams from a university

INITIAL ROUND:

• Students upload:

– Introductory video of up to 3 minutes

– business case pdf file

– a zipped file containing an image of the current product design

– STL and CAD file

• 30 submissions selected and invited to compete in Montreal

• Winning submissions printed and shipped to Montreal at no cost to the students

FINAL ROUND- IMECE- MONTREAL, CANADA

• 5 winners selected based on demonstration of the functional prototype, Oral presentation and Q&As
