Introduction The Benji/Finecrack Project includes claims in M license under Clyde Burt and Perry Warren in partnership with Garth Graves. The claims are located near Island Pond, approximately 17 km north of the community of Gander. The property was staked in 2013 for its copper potential which was exposed after new quarry operations on the property. Initial assays showed elevated vanadium and titanium and copper.

Location and Access The Benji property is located in NTS map areas 2E/02, just off a woods road off highway 330 North of Gander (Figure 1).
Previous Work The area was first worked by International Mogul Mines in 1975. An airbourne Mag/Em survey that identified a coincidental Mag/Em anomaly was referred to as system 21. A grid (21A) was cut in the general area of the quarry and surface geophysics was conducted (mag/Em) outlining an Em conductor with a large mag anomaly flanking the west side of the conductor. One drill hole 75-9 was drilled just to the north of the quarry with no sampling at the time. Recent sampling of the drill core(Pasadena) has returned anomalous vanadium and titanium. The area of the recent exposed quarry was deemed at the time to be a #2 priority but never drilled. In the early 90’s Gander River Minerals did a recce soil survey over the area and after reviewing the Geofiles anomalous Vanadium values (200 ppm range) were recorded in the analysis’ of the soil.
5 Geology and Mineralization
The Benji/Finecrack properties cover rocks belonging to the Gander River Ultrabasic Belt (GRUB), a
continuous 2 to 6 km wide belt of plutonic and volcanic units north of Gander Lake. Generally mafic to
ultramafic in composition, the GRUB represents a major structural boundary between the Gander
Dunnage Terranes. The GRUB is structurally above and in fault contact to the east with metasediments
of the Lower Ordovician or earlier Gander Group, and nonconformably overlain and bounded to the
west by sediments of the Middle Ordovician Davidsville Group. Small outliers (windows) of Davidville
Group sediments occur within the GRUB.
On the property, rocks belonging to the GRUB include ultramafics (pyroxenite), altered
(serpentinite,magnesite and talc‐tremolite schist), gabbro, mafic flows ,trondhjemite and porphyry. The
pyroxinite is generally massive, and occurs as elliptical pods, within gabbro. The altered ultramafic rocks
occur as linier and elliptical zones of dominantly magesite‐rich carbonate and serpentinite, with minor
talc and tremolite. Disseminate Chromite occurs as regular 1 to 2cm bands in magnesite. Schistope yalc‐
carbonate zones trend northeast, with moderate to steep dips. The gabbro is the dominate GRUB unit
on the property, with minor diorite and tonalite. The gabbro varies from massive to strongly foliated,
with local mylonite zones. The dark green mafic flows are pillowed or massive and commonly
amgdaloidal. A north‐northeast trending penetrative foliation is present in the mafic flows, with chlorite
schist developed locally. The trondhjemite occurs along the western portion of the GRUB and is

2nd year work consisted of prospecting, drilling 1 meter deep core samples in Benji showing and recee
Mag and Vlf(EM‐16). Research found an updated airbourne survey that better outlines the system 21
Airbourne anomaly. Both the Finecrack and Benji showings lie with‐in this‐oval shaped mag anomaly.

8 Results Results in prospecting improved the higher Cu grades on both the Benji (up to 1.15% Cu) and Finecrack
(12.0% Cu) showings. Petrography on the Benji helped confirming the geoglogy however was
unsuccessful in identifying the source of the vanadium. Recee mag and Vlf was very successful in
outlining the “system 21” airbourne anomaly.

SUMMARY:
Capsule descriptions are as follows:
127210: ultramafic rock (originally amphibolite?) with minor, disseminated primary oxide (ilmenite)-
sulfide (pyrrhotite) mineralization, strongly affected by alteration to secondary biotite-chlorite-Mg
carbonate-minor fibrous secondary amphibole, associated with stronger pyrrhotite/local chalcopyrite
mineralization, partly remobilized into fracture veinlets. The source of the anomalous Ti and Cu is
obvious, but the locus for the V is not.
127211: mafic (originally gabbroic?) rock composed of amphibole and former plagioclase (?), minor
interstitial ilmenite and rare chalcopyrite, strongly altered to epidote-chlorite-minor sphene-trace
hematite. The source of anomalous V is uncertain.

127210: ULTRAMAFIC ROCK (AMPHIBOLITE?) WITH MINOR, DISSEMINATED PRIMARY
OXIDE (ILMENITE)-SULFIDE (PYRRHOTITE) MINERALIZATION, STRONGLY AFFECTED
BY ALTERATION TO SECONDARY BIOTITE-CHLORITE-MG CARBONATE-MINOR
FIBROUS SECONDARY AMPHIBOLE, ASSOCIATED WITH STRONGER PYRRHOTITE AND
LOCAL CHALCOPYRITE MINERALIZATION, PARTLY REMOBILIZED INTO FRACTURES
Described as mafic/ultramafic rock with sulfide mineralization (possibly primary pyrrhotite,
secondary chalcopyrite/bornite/pyrite, local magnetite and ilmenite), containing anomalous V, Cu and
Ti; hand specimen shows very fine-grained, blackish-green, sulfide-rich rock with variably pyrrhotite
or chalcopyrite enriched, irregular disjointed veinlets. The rock is strongly magnetic, shows trace
very slow, minor reaction to cold dilute HCl (only where scratched), and no stain for K-feldspar in
the etched offcut. Modal mineralogy in polished thin section is approximately:
Amphibole (hornblende?), variably retrograded 50%
Pyrrhotite (variably remobilized, e.g. into veinlets) 15%
Biotite (secondary; partly chloritized) 15%
Chlorite (variable composition; largely after biotite) 5%
Carbonate (magnesite?) 5%
Chalcopyrite 3%
Ilmenite 1-2%
Sphene (?) <1%
This sample is roughly divisible into two halves, one more primary (amphibole, minor secondary
minerals, minor sulfides and oxides) and the other mainly secondary (composed mostly of sulfides
and biotite-chlorite-carbonate, after amphibole?), minor relict ilmenite. Sulfides, mainly pyrrhotite,
occur in the latter either as fine disseminations intimately associated with carbonate and micas,
suggestive of secondary origin, or along discontinuous veinlets, suggestive of remobilization.
In the less altered portion, amphibole forming relatively coarse, but commonly highly
fractured, disrupted subhedral crystals up to 8 mm long (with more or less random orientations) are
attacked and replaced along a network of fractures or around margins by the same set of secondary
minerals seen in the more altered portion (biotite, chlorite, minor carbonate, trace sphene), mostly
concentrated along the fractures. Yellow stain in the offcut, also mostly along the fractures, is likely
due to potassium in the biotite since no K-feldspar is noted in thin section. The amphibole shows
weak pleochroism from pale brownish to pale greenish, suggestive of primary or late-magmatic
hornblende, although extinction angle is rarely over 12º, suggestive of actinolitic hornblende. At
margins and along fractures, it is locally replaced by almost colourless to pale sea-green, fibrous finer
grained amphibole (secondary tremolite-actinolite?). Within the larger fracture veinlets, mostly <1
mm thick, alteration is to biotite and chlorite as described below. Ilmenite occurs as aggregates up to
~2mm across, composed of rounded subhedra <0.5 mm, typically associated with aggregates up to
1.5 mm across of fine-grained pyrrhotite or chalcopyrite (subhedra mainly <0.2 mm). These sulfide-
oxide aggregates are interstitial to the amphibole, strongly suggestive of primary oxide/sulfide
accumulations in an ultramafic rock (amphibolite). Where larger aggregates occur, they are typically
in the form of veinlets <3 mm thick, in which chalcopyrite predominates as subhedra <0.25 mm and
pyrrhotite is much less common, but of similar size.
In the strongly altered half, after a transition zone in which relict amphibole crystals are partly
replaced by fibrous amphibole partly interleaved by secondary biotite (subhedral flakes <0.4 mm
with dark brownish green pleochroism) and “spotted” by minute crystals of carbonate (euhedra <0.1
mm), amphibole all but disappears to be almost entirely replaced by biotite, chlorite, carbonate and
associated fine-grained sulfides. The biotite (and phlogopite?) typically forms sub/euhedral flakes
either up to 0.5 mm with dark greenish brown pleochroism or mostly <0.1 mm, with faint brownish
pleochroism, the latter mainly controlled along the fracture system, where it stains faintly yellow in
etched offcut, likely due to potassium content. Commonly, the latter is converted in places to chlorite
that is either pale green and length-slow (more iron-rich, with Fe:Fe+Mg, or F:M, ratio above 0.5,

possibly 0.6?) or almost colourless and length-fast (more magnesian, with F:M 0.3-0.4?) as sub- to
euhedral flakes up to0.3 mm. Carbonate occurs in intricate networks of minute fractures <0.2 mm
thick, where it forms sub-equant or slender needle-like euhedra <0.1 mm long with strong relief
change (and anisotropy in reflected light) on rotation, which together with lack of reaction to HCl in
hand specimen suggests magnesian (or Fe-Mg) rich composition, such as magnesite (or siderite?).
The carbonate is intimately intergrown with sulfides, mainly pyrrhotite as very fine-grained, tabular
subhedra rarely over 0.1 mm, suggestive of replacement of former silicates accompanying biotite-
chlorite alteration. However, the pyrrhotite commonly surrounds aggregates of ilmenite similar to
those described above, at least permissive of a primary (magmatic) origin for the oxides and part of
the sulfides. Chalcopyrite is almost entirely restricted to short, stubby segments of veinlets up to 2
mm thick by ~5 mm long, where it forms ragged subhedra mainly <0.25 mm and is accompanied by
pyrrhotite as rounded subhedra up to 0.5 mm, suggestive of remobilization (i.e., “secondary”) origin.
There may be minor sphene (?) associated with carbonate rimming/alteration of ilmenite.
In summary, this sample appears to represent ultramafic rock (originally amphibolite?) with
minor, disseminated primary oxide (ilmenite)-sulfide (pyrrhotite) mineralization, strongly affected by
alteration to secondary biotite-chlorite-Mg carbonate-minor fibrous secondary amphibole, associated
with stronger pyrrhotite and local chalcopyrite mineralization, partly remobilized into fractures. The
source of the anomalous Ti and Cu is obvious, but the locus for the V is not.

127211: MAFIC (ORIGINALLY GABBROIC?) ROCK COMPOSED OF AMPHIBOLE AND
FORMER PLAGIOCLASE?, MINOR INTERSTITIAL ILMENITE, RARE CHALCOPYRITE,
STRONGLY ALTERED TO EPIDOTE-CHLORITE-MINOR SPHENE-TRACE HEMATITE
Described as from the same deposit as 127210 (with elevated V, Ti and Cu, but with less
sulfide mineralization); hand specimen shows mottled, grey-green/white mafic rock with minor
disseminated oxides and local splashy chalcopyrite mineralization. The rock is locally slightly
magnetic, shows trace very slow, minor reaction to cold dilute HCl (only where scratched), and no
stain for K-feldspar in the etched offcut (local weak yellow stain likely indicates micas). Modal
mineralogy in polished thin section is approximately:
Amphibole (relict, hornblende?) partly altered to actinolite? 40%
Epidote-group (zoisite, clinozoisite?) 30%
Chlorite (after amphibole, possible secondary biotite) 25%
Ilmenite (relict primary?) 3%
Chalcopyrite (restricted to blebs/remobilized veinlets) 1%
Sphene (after ilmenite?) <1%
Hematite (after ilmenite) <<1%
This sample is similar to 127210 in apparently consisting largely of relict amphibole (after
pyroxene?) and possible former plagioclase (?) sites, with interstitial, likely primary, oxides
(ilmenite), strongly altered to epidote-group minerals and chlorite, minor sphene and trace hematite;
local blebs of chalcopyrite are of uncertain timing and origin.
Amphibole occurs as ragged, corroded-looking “cores” or kernels up to ~6 mm across
composed of randomly oriented, subhedral crystals mostly <3 mm in size, commonly altered at
margins and along myriads of fractures or cleavages to chlorite or rarely fibrous amphibole. The
(primary or late-magmatic?) amphibole displays faint brownish to medium olive-greenish
pleochroism and extinction possibly up to ~20º, suggestive of hornblende; the secondary fibrous
amphibole shows almost colourless to pale sea green pleochroism, suggestive of actinolite.
Chlorite typically replaces amphibole either along fractures, where it is very fine-grained
(<0.1 mm) or forms interstitial masses up to 1 cm long, where it is coarser-grained (euhedra to ~0.35
mm) (both with faint pale green pleochroism). Optical properties vary from weakly length-slow,
anomalous blue birefringence (F:M 0.5?) to weakly length-fast, greyish birefringence (F:M 0.4?).
Epidote-group mineral occurs as either fine-grained aggregates of subhedra <0.25 mm with
normal to locally anomalous bluish or yellowish birefringence but no pleochroism (clinozoisite?), or
radiating sprays of euhedral acicular crystals up to 2 mm long with anomalous blue or grey
birefringence (zoisite?). The latter is associated with fine-grained chlorite and blebs of chalcopyrite.
Epidote-group minerals likely mainly replace former plagioclase (?) interstitial to mafic minerals,
suggestive of a mafic rock such as gabbro (?), although some may also replace the margins of
adjacent amphibole sites. Minor yellow stained areas associated with the relict plagioclase (?) sites in
etched offcut do not appear to represent Kspar; instead, yellow stain appears to relate to micas
(chlorite) which may have replaced former secondary biotite (?) as in sample 127210.
Ilmenite occurs as irregular-shaped aggregates up to ~2 mm across composed of subhedral
crystals mostly <1.5 mm in diameter, interstitial to presumed primary silicates. The ilmenite is
locally partly altered around rims to fine-grained sphene (subhedra <50 µm) or rarely hematite
(subhedra <25 µm). Sulfides are very rare within these oxide aggregates, but local poddy
chalcopyrite occurs in lensy aggregates up to ~5 mm long that partly surround or are associated with
ilmenite, and so may represent partly remobilized primary sulfides. Pyrrhotite is not seen.
In summary, this appears to represent mafic (originally gabbroic?) rock composed of
amphibole and former plagioclase (?), minor interstitial ilmenite and rare chalcopyrite, strongly
altered to epidote-chlorite-minor sphene-trace hematite. The source of anomalous V is uncertain.

primary, aggregates of oxides/sulfides (opaque, mainly ilmenite, il), altered along fracture network to secondary
biotite/chlorite/carbonate, partly associated with pyrrhotite (po). Transmitted plane light, field of view ~3 mm wide.
127210R: heavily altered ultramafic in which relict ilmenite (il) is preserved but amphibole is altered to fine-grained mix
of chlorite-biotite-carbonate (cb), the latter associated with pyrrhotite (po) that also occurs, with chalcopyrite (cp) re-
mobilized into short discontinuous veinlets. Reflected light, uncrossed polars, field of view ~3 mm wide.

opaque), plus fine-grained epidote-group mineral (ep, likely clinozoisite?) partly mixed with chlorite, probably after

127211R: splashy lensy aggregate of chalcopyrite (cp) in part surrounding or associated with ilmenite (il, partly altered at
rims to sphene, sp), hosted by fine-grained chlorite (ch) associated with radiating sprays of relatively coarse-grained
zoisite (zo). Reflected light, uncrossed polars, field of view ~3 mm wide.

had arrived and all 14 sets of rock material were being prepared for Au Pt Pd Fire Assay as well as 34 Element I.C.P. – Inductively Coupled Plasma

Although I will forward all results directly to you following this correspondence, we requested that Au Ag Pt Pd Precious Elements as well as
