I am pursuing my dream of becoming a pediatrician which will acquaint me with the skills to focus on the physical, emotional, and social health of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults in Africa. I also hope to be a strong voice behind the improvements in health, educational facilities and the empowerment of girls and women in Africa.
Overview/PlatformSaving Tomorrow Zimbabwe aims at improve the lives of
children in Africa affected by HIV/AIDS through the advocacy of better education, health facilities and food.
Objectives /Goals
The project aims at supporting individual transformation of vulnerable children through:
Help with funding for the construction of Matthew Rusike Children’s Home’s second resource centre at Donga, in the Midlands Province,
Leadership and confident building, Advocacy and fundraisings for better education, health,
housing and nutrition, Educate against stigmatization, Educate about HIV/AIDS, its cause, prevention and medication.
Project Implementation
Involves working together with existing organizations and groups which has the same cause: Matthew Rusike Children’s Home.
Connecting existing organization with sponsors. Fundraising towards education supplies, medication, toys,
sanitation, food and clothing. Providing vocational skills. Counseling service (living and copying with HIV). Self development and providing income generating Projects.
Matthew Rusike Children’s Home Harare Zimbabwe (MRCH)
MRCH is a registered child welfare organization established in 1960.
MRCH one of the largest child welfare organizations caring for 145 orphaned and vulnerable children in its institution in Epworth
The MRCH runs a Community Based Orphan Care Programme nationwide that assists about seven thousand (7 000) children
Children and family counseling, Health and hygiene checks and medical support,
DONGA RESOURCE CENTER Goals for community resource centers: Training and provision of support services for child-heads of
households, Training of volunteer caregivers and foster parents, Provision of supplementary food to OVCs including the sick and the
marginalized, Day- care services for OVCs and provision of Early Childhood
Education and Training. Vocational skills training for vulnerable children, Short-term place of safety for children at risk, Children’s education support services

Time frame: The project with Matthew Rusike is projected to be

SUMMARY
• Saving Tomorrow hope to have the Donga Resource Center completed by March of 2011.
• Future projects will be of similar nature to support the same cause by working through with already existing organizations.
• The main future goal is to impact organizations internationally who are supporting the same goal especially in Africa.
