Standards The collection and layout of the inspec- tion data depends upon the standards and regulations used. In the German- speaking countries these are mainly the standards DIN EN, ATV, ISYBAU, LOÖ and ÖWAV. These are included in BaSYS Pisa as data records. A standard is selected and activates the associated libraries. Libraries Inspection texts and remedial actions are concisely administered in the li- brar-ies. For fast navigation the inspec- tion text is arranged in BaSYS Pisa accord-ing to inspection text groups. The grouping can be varied for each stan-dard. For the rehabilitation actions the following hierarchy is defined: • Rehabilitation Category • Rehabilitation Group • Rehabilitation Actions The three rehabilitation categories are object related. Category No. °1 contains measures for the rehabilitation of the complete reach (Object „reach“), Category No. °2 actions for the rehabi- li-tation of point and section damages (Object „inspection symbol“), Category No.°3 actions for manhole rehabilitation (Object „manhole“). The object reference simplifies the reha-bilitations planning by its filter efficiency. The rehabilitation groups and reme- dial actions are freely definable in the library. The rehabilitation library can be adapted comfortably to relevant working methods. Thus the rehabili- tation planning is flexibly adaptable to the company, project and user specific boundary conditions. This increases the efficiency and economy of rehabili- tation planning with BaSYS Pisa. Data Retention BaSYS Pisa allows the grouping of reaches into tracts. Basic data, inspec- tion data, sewer network maintenance and rehabilitation data are described in the documents. The importation and administration of the inspection data is order related.

Allocation of the rehabilitation actions to the reach damages.

Library of Rehabilitation Actions.

Condition EvaluationThe inspection data of the reaches and manholes are visualized in a sim-ple layout by means of their own forms for viewing and processing. The Icon „attachment“ allows the allocation by Drag & Drop of unlimited inspection drive photos to each inspection text. The allocation of digitized videos takes place intuitively. An algorithm, de-pendent upon the respective standard, evaluates the inspection data auto-mati-cally. The results of the condition evaluation can be manually adapted and does not need to be input through the automatic evaluation of the bound-ary conditions.

Rehabilitation PlanningIn the framework of the rehabilitation planning unlimited alternatives can be selected and realized. Planning takes place in a multi-window document. The inspected sewer objects are assi-gned to rehabilitation actions by Drag & Drop:

• A navigation window permits opti-mal navigating in the reaches and/or tracts.• A window administers inspected objects and rehabilitation actions by means of a tree structure.• From a third window the appropriate rehabilitation action can be selected for the active (clicked) inspected object (filtered through the object de- scription of the rehabilitation category).

The costs are determined automatical-ly using quantities and standard prices for all Drag & Drop assigned rehabilita-tion actions.

Results of the Rehabilitation Plan-ningThe results of the rehabilitation plan-ning are clearly presented in a ma-nagement and rehabilitation diagram, in the graphic from BaSYS Plan, as well as in a report. Completed correc-tive actions are presented at the same time in the BaSYS data base cataster.

Management and Rehabilitation DiagramIn the management and rehabilitation diagram the inspection and/or rehabili-tation data is displayed for optimal comparison. Per reach, the simulta-neous viewing of one or two reach diagrams is possible in overlaid or parallel layout. With two management diagrams any combination between inspection orders and rehabilitation alternatives is selectable.Planned Functional EnhancementsFor future updates, a substantial en-hancement of BaSYS Pisa‘s function-ality is planned:• defective manholes are currently displayed as a red area in the reach diagram. In the future a manhole graphic can be called up for these manholes.• Extension of the library with a catalogue of unit costs.• Export of the rehabilitation data over a GAEB interface to tender programs.
