producing 12 500 tons per month• Moneyline shaft is called Schaapkopje - MR 166• Barmin ( Pty) Ltd mines Waterval - MR 151 and Rietvlei Police

adit - MR 167. Funds for Projects from these two mine are mostly covered from the operating shaft Schaapkopje ( Moneyline 1705 ( pty) Ltd.

• The major purpose for the presentation is to display willingness to comply with all regulations in the Mining Charter and the MPRDA.

Human Resource Development• The company provide workplace training and stipends for 10

Apprentices on Mechanical Engineering. Learnerships done with Services Seta, Anneng cc.

• ABET was offered with No employees willing to attend BUT we are now busy introducing it again to the workforce using our future forum committee.

• 5 Bursaries were awarded to matriculants 2012 who qualified.• The current other school support we engaged in is Scholar

transportation assist.• Our company assists the surrounding school where possible at

all times, i.e building classrooms, kitchen, etc.

Community Development cont

Health and Safety

Environmental Management• All correspondence with water affairs has been done and

continued consultations. Geohydrology studies have been conducted and continuous borehole monitoring is done.

• The mines utilizes off loading bays and only a day capacity explosives is delivered. Inspector of Explosives Newcastle, does all the necessary inspections.

• The Appointed Occupational hygienist does all the necessary measurements at all relevant points as per Mine Health and safety Act. Quarterly and Annual reports are submitted.

• No Rehabilitation has been done or required to be done to date. Our EMPR stipulates how and when will it be done upon closure of the mines.

Conclusion• Continuous consultation with the relevant committees and

the Abaqulusi Municipality will be done as to continue building our surrounding communities.

• We give 100% to strive to comply with the Mining Charter, MPRDA and Mine Health and Safety Act.

• We will ensure a good working relationship with all governmental departments at all time ( i.e. DMR, Environmental affairs, etc.)
