Nowadays, almost all of people experience love and then reach marriage. However, Ipartly agree with the idea that marriage should be based on love because only love is notenough. Here the following reasons are. First, there is no denial that love makes peoplehappy in life and helps them overcome severe difficulties and build a warm family. It islove that joins a man and a woman together. When these above supposed things becometrue, I call it true love, in other words, forgiveness and sacrifice contribute to true love. Moreover, future homes finance also affects the family happiness. For example, yourchild cant study at school without money, you even have no wonderful moment whenboth of wife and husbands inconsistency related to money turns up and so on. Inconclusion, marriage should be built on love and serious attitude of two sides who acceptspecific characters each other and fulfill the gaps spouses.2. Write about your hobby

Of all the interesting free time activities as well as entertainments, I like reading bookmost because of its good aspects it brings to me.First and foremost, reading book not only helps widen my knowledge but also makesme love my life more. As you know reference books provide us with a lot of informationof every field of our life. Besides, novels, stories which contain many romantic andtouching plots controlling my feeling a great deal. Moreover, enjoying books regularly gives me a good habit as I am more and morepatient. Especially, my ability to express words fluently is better and better. Therefore,Iwill be confident of communicating with others. In short, reading books is my main hobby and I will make best use of its advantagesto have a happy lifestyle. What kind of job would you like to do after you finish your education?Marketing seems to be the kind of career I would like to choose after i leave fromuniversity. I like this work in view of some following reasons.First of all, marketing position is well-paid job. The more you help your companysell more products, the higher your salary is. Of course, you need to have effectivestragedies to attract customers.Secondly, Working as a marketer gives me many opportunities of improving mypersuding skill and ability to converting idea into words. There is no denial that this kindof job requires different skills , but if you meet these requirements, you will be more andmore professional. On the whole, it is simply my hobby. Needless to say ""you will do something best whenyou like it"".Write about the kind of book you like bestI am usually in habit of reading books. Addition to books that offer me much usefulinformation,I also like comic book. I am in fond of it for some following reasons. To begin with, Comic books bring me a great deal of relaxation. One of them isDoremon story, which tells many funny short stories about 2 main characters, Doremonand Nobita,Who are close friends. The author of that comic creats so many amusingsituations among characters that I can"t help laughing. It"s actually a hard-to-put-downbook. It attracts not only children but also adults as me.Another good point of it I want to mention about is creative imagination. I meanchildren need to have imaginative mindset, which helps them be more active in life.By and large, comic book is worth reading after hard work. It is nice for everyone.Describe a village you know wellI was born and have grown up in the country in a small village beside a beautifulriver. My village is surrounded in a hedge of green bamboos. Most of the houses in thevillage are built of brick and have red tiled roofs. In the middle of the village there is an old pagoda with high trees around it. On thefirst and fifteenth days of the lunar month, the villagers often go to the pagoda to giveofferings to The God of Agriculture. On the right of the village flows quietly a clear and blue river. When I was young, Iused to swim in the river with my friends. How can I forget the wonderful time on thisriver fishing or rowing a boat with my boyhood friends! On the left of the village lies the village green where village meetings are often heldby village officials. On this ground covered with soft grass we used to fly kites on windyautumnal evenings. The majority of villages live on agriculture. They get rich thanks to their fertile rice-fields and their diligence. Harvest time is certainly the busiest and the merriest time of theyear. During the harvest, the villagers often get up very early in the morning. Theycheerfully go to their rice-fields to harvest the bumper crop the fruit of many months ofhard work.My villagers are very friendly and helpful. They are willing to offer mutual help inany case and always get on with one another harmoniously. My village is rather small indeed but I like it very much because I was born and havegrown up there and spent my happiest childhood among the simple and hard-workingvillagers who always feel attached to their native land. The importance of reading newspaper. As the name suggests newspapers are a source of news and information. In severalrespects they are also a medium of communication among the peoples of the world.Today there are hundreds of newspapers all over the world. Everywhere there is akeen desire to learn more and more about the affairs of the world. This is partly the resultof the spread of education which sharpens ones curiosity to learn about distant lands. As a source of news, the newspaper is almost indispensable to those whose thirst forknowledge is insatiable. They contain news on events in distant corners of the earth.Information about such events arrives almost immediately. As a result, people everywhereare informed about the most important event in the world very quickly and almost at thesame time. For example, if a war breaks out in one part of the world today, the people inthe other parts will certainly come to know about it tomorrow. As a result, all thecountries of the world are able to do something quickly to help those who have sufferedbecause of the war or to persuade the countries at war to cease fighting.Newspaper also play an important part in keeping the people of the world informedabout the troubles that might arise in the future, if nothing is done to prevent them fromhappening. For example, if a dispute arises between the two countries for any reason, thenewspapers can keep the people of the world informed about what might happen ifnothing is done to persuade the two countries to resolve their differences peacefully. In this way many wars have been avoided because of the intervention of somecountries in the disputes of many countries which were given prominence in newspapers. When all this is considered, we feel that there is some silent communication amongcountries through the medium of newspapers for the common benefit of the countries ofthe world.Further, constant reading of newspapers improves ones outlook on life and makesone a more reasonable person. The importance of the newspaper is therefore obvious.Your most embarrassing experienceOur family live in the suburb of HCM city, not far from the central city. It is about 30kilometers to the South.Last week my parents, my brothers and my sisters paid a visit to my grandparents inthe country and I therefore stayed at home alone. I used to get up very early in themorning. As usual, after going to the market to buy some necessary things, I came backhome to start doing the housework such as cleaning the floor, making the bed, makingcoffee and preparing lunch. The house now was so clean and tidy that it seemed biggerand larger. I had worked from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. I was so tired that I had to stopworking for a rest. After 15 minutes of relaxation, I started working again.Right after I had taken the teapot from the cupboard, I suddenly felt somethingburning downstairs. I got so embarrassed and frightened that I dropped the teapot while Iwas hurrying downstairs. To my horror and surprise, the kettle on the electric stove wason fire. I was in such a confusing state that I was quite at a loss. Then I came up an idea: Irushed to the switchboard to cut off the electric power. The house suddenly became asdark as pitch. In the pitch-dark kitchen, the kettle turned so dazzling red that it looked justlike a hot burning sun on a stifling summer afternoon.Would you prefer to have an expensive and ostentatious wedding with lots of guestsor a simple and quiet one?Everyone has his own conception. These viewpoints are quite different from eachother, especially in ceremonies and rites, for example, in a wedding ceremony.Last Sunday, one of my closest girlfriends invited me to her wedding. The bride wasborn of a middle-class family. Her parents are retired government officials. To satisfytheir daughters wishes, they had to organize a pompous and expensive wedding. Thewedding was prepared carefully: they had the house whitewashed and decorated, lanternsand gorgeous flowers were hung everywhere. On the wedding day, the bride wore a full-length pink dress, with a crown on herhead just like a queen. A great number of guests were invited to the party. Delicious andrare main courses were served in the deafening sounds of rock music. Almost all guestsdrank so much whisky and brandy that they got as drunk as lords, and the wedding partylasted three days and three nights. It was rumored that her wedding party cost half of herparents fortune. As for me, I have a quite different conception of wedding. I prefer to have a verysimple and quiet wedding party rather than an ostentatious and expensive one. Before my wedding, I myself will decorate the living-room in accordance with mytaste. In my wedding ceremony, I will wear a traditional dress which represents chastityand purity. Only few friends and relatives will be invited to my simple wedding party. There will be no rock music and no other kinds of festivals. In summary, I conceive that the happiness of a newly-married couple cannot befound in an ostentatious and expensive wedding which only ruins their health and theirparents fortune.Talk about the habit of smoking cigarettesSmoking cigarettes is really an expensive habit. The average price per pack ofcigarettes, for example, is just about one dollar, people who smoke two packs ofcigarettes a day therefore spend $2 per day on their habit. At the end of one year thesesmokers incur a debt. Since cigarette smoking has an offensive odor that permeatesclothing stuffed furniture and carpets, smokers often find that they must have these itemscleaned more frequently than nonsmokers do. Further more, a smoker would pay a largesum of money for some diseases coming from smoking. Although it is difficult to sum thecost of these additional expenses, we can say that the expenses do contribute to makingsmoking become an expensive habit.Describe your best friend and tell why you like him or herIn our daily activities we often get in touch with the others and from these relationswe meet some people whose interests, characteristics and behaviors are similar to oursand we choose them as our friends. To me, one of my best friends is Nam. Nam is only over eighteen but he is welldeveloped; so he is thought to be twenty or more. He has black hair, a broad forehead, astraight nose and bright eyes. He is very good-looking. He has a kind heart and is easy toget on with everybody. We have been friends for a very long time. The deeper our mutualunderstanding becomes the more we feel closely attached to each other. Birds of afeather flock together, Nam and I are keen on learning. We are the best pupils in ourclass. Nam is always at the top. He is good at every subject, but he never shows pride inhis abilities and always tries to learn harder.Nams family is not rich enough. His parents are retired workers. Realizing thehardships of his parents, although he is absorbed in his study, he often spends most of hisspare time doing useful things to help his parents in their old age. He gets up early in themorning to have enough time to deliver newspapers to subscribers before going to school. After school in the afternoon, he repairs bicycles and motorbikes. Therefore themoney he gets from his manual job is sufficient for his school fees and for his parentspresents. I like Nam very much because of his honesty and straight forwardness. He isalways ready to help his weak friends in their study; as a result, lots of friends, thanks tohis whole-hearted help, have become good ones.In my relation with Nam, I have got precious experience: thirst for learning, patienceto overcome difficulties, helpfulness and filial piety.Describe a bridge you know wellWhoever has been to Hue ancient city will always admire the gracefulness of TrangTien Bridge.Built a long time ago, Trang Tien Bridge was made of steel and concrete andsupported by huge underwater columns which extend to a depth of over 150 meters underthe water. It is composed of 12 spans joining the left bank to the right bank of thePerfume River. From far away it looks like white arches emerging from the blue skyline. On bright moonlit nights, standing on the bridge you can see myrisds of vacillatingstars reflecting on the clear and blue waters. How cool and relaxed you feel at that time! The light evening breeze rising from the river caresses your skin and fills your lungs withsoft fragrance. All around you are coolness and quietness. In the stillness of the long nightyou can hear the little waves lapping against the sampans gliding gently below. Now andagain a sweet melodious chant rises from somewhere and then gradually vanishes in thequiet atmosphere.During the day, however, the sceneries are livelier. Cars, motorbikes and bicycles arestreaming towards the other side of the river. Groups of schoolgirls, dressed in white, with conical palm hats on their heads are gracefully walking over the bridge to their DongKhanh School, talking and laughing merrily. The flaps of their white traditional dress orao dai are fluttering in the fresh morning breeze just like butterflies wings.Tourist will foster sweet recollections of this famous bridge forever once they havevisited this Old Capital City. How should people protect and preserve the natural resources?Conservation concerns mens safeguarding and preservation of natural resources andhis responsibility for improving the environmental conditions in which he lives. Animportant task of conservation is the prevention of waste waste of forests, soil, minerals, wildlife and human life.Trees help to preserve land because their roots bind the soil and retain water. Withouttrees, heavy rains will cause soil erosion and the remaining land becomes poor andworthless. Terrible floods often occur in the areas where trees are cut down in greatquantity. Forest conservation also means the prevention of bush fires and the attention toplanting and looking after new, young trees. Not only should man preserve forests but he should also realize the importance ofwildlife protection. Unless governments have a good system of control or pass lawsrestricting the hunting, fishing and eradicating of rare animals and plants, they slowlydisappear.Natural resources such as coal, gas and mineral ores are limited but the need for themis growing day by day. As they may not last for a century, man should use them widely onthe one hand, and look for alternative fuels on the other hand.Another serious problem threatening human life is the dirtying and poisoning of airand water. This pollution is mainly caused by the fumes, chemicals and wastes fromautomobiles, industries and homes. It is hoped that for his own benefit, man can soon find a solution to these problems. The important role of newspaper and magazines in our livesThe more society is developed the more means of communication are required.Among means of communication, newspaper and magazines play an important role in ourlives.Firstly, newspapers and magazines supply us with a variety of news every day. Theykeep us informed of the political situation of the world. By reading newspapers andmagazines we can know what is happening in our country as well as in the world at large.Secondly, newspaper and magazines contribute a great deal to the development ofour knowledge. Through valuable and subtle critical and commentary articles on culture, social civilization, new life style we learn a lot of interesting things. Thanks tonewspapers and magazines, our mind and point of view are consolidated and enriched. When reading them we can train our reasoning power.Thirdly, through newspapers and magazines reading, we can find out what we needto know: a job in the situations vacant column, an object we want to buy in theadvertising page, a missing relative in the finding missing relative column andcondolence news in the agony column.Fourthly, the Police Newspapers and Magazines help us take precautious againstsocial evils such as theft, murder, robbery, rape, gambling and smuggling.Fifthly, we can improve our English language by reading newspapers and magazineswritten in English. This enables us to broaden our knowledge of English in every aspect. In conclusion, well-grounded and best-selling newspapers and magazines are worthreading. They are the mouthpiece of the nation and the unseen advisers of the commonpeople.Give one of the activities you like to do in your spare timeWatching television is one of the activities I like to do in my spare time. I enjoywatching cartoons on Saturday mornings and sports programs on Sunday afternoons. Ialso watch television during the week after I have finished all my school work. At night, Iespecially like to watch movies and situation comedies. If I have a lot of homework, I tryto arrange my schedule so that I can watch at least one of my favorite shows. Watchingtelevision is not the only activity that I do in my spare time. My other favorite activitiesare making paper flowers and going shopping with my friends. However, when I havespare time, I spend more time watching television than any other activities. Watchingtelevision can help me not only relax but also build me a huge knowledge of the openworld.Talk about the importance of agricultureSince the time men learnt to grow crops, agriculture has been the main source offood. Today, most of the people in all parts of the world, especially in developingcountries, are engaged in agricultural activities.Human is mainly a grain-eating animal. In Asia, most of the people eat rice. InEurope, North America and Australia, wheat is the main food crop. If rice and wheatcannot be grown, millet and other cereals are grown as food crops. Though men also eatmeat, they enjoy eating meat only when they take it together with rice or bread which ismade from wheat. It is therefore clear that grains are the main source of mans food, andgrains are agricultural products.Men, however, cannot live on grains alone. They need other foods too to make hismeals more palatable. Therefore, they learnt to grow vegetables, potatoes and fruits. Likegrains, these things come from the soil. They have to be planted and grown with greatcare. As a result, men have made many experiments on soil for several centuries toincrease their production of crops. Men have also learnt to consume dried leaves torefresh themselves. Tea and tobacco, the dried leaves of certain plants, have become verypopular as sources of refreshment. Even coffee and cocoa are products of plants. Cotton, jute and other fiber are used to make cloth and several other things for our daily needs. All these plants have become very important in agriculture. In some countries, agriculture is a main source of wealth. The rubber tree and the oil-palm in Malaysia bring millions of dollars every year. In Bangladesh, the jute plant is themain source of wealth. Similarly, in almost every country there is at least one plant whichmakes a great contribution to the economy of the country. We arrive at the conclusion thatagriculture play an important role in mens world. Why are good books good teachers and friends? It is often said: Tell me what you are reading and I will tell you who you are.For me, a good book is always a good teacher guiding me through life as well as atrue companion encouraging me and consulting me in my desperate straits. In fact, interesting books are a source of invaluable knowledge to those who want tomaster everything they havent known before. Through masterpieces all over the worldwe can realize the whole outstanding culture and civilization of mankind in every aspect:literature, science, sociology, anthropology, technology and economics.Nobody denies the important role of good books in developing mans knowledge. The more we read valuable books the more we become wise and experienced. By readingbooks, we can get rid of all prejudices and narrow-mindedness. We can no longer live inThe Ivory Tower like a recluse and therefore we can get along with other people aroundus easily.Next, good books are true companions who always share our joys and sorrows in ourdaily activities. Are you in low spirits and disappointed in your affairs? Read wise advicethrough books by profound scholars and authors. Are you sad? Read subtle humorousstories of well-known humorists in the world. All your sorrows and disappointments willvanish at once.In summary, good books help us train our personality. They help us distinguish theGood from the Bad and they lead us to the True, the Good and the Beautiful. An incident I shall never forgetThe outline:1. When it happened2. Where I was3. What happened4. The endOne day, last year, I was alone in my house, when something terrible happened. I canstill when something terrible happened. I can still remember the incident very clearly. My parents were out that day to meet some of their friends. My brothers and sistershad gone to the cinema. All of them returned very late in the night. As I had some schoolwork to do, I stayed at home alone.I was reading my lessons in a room at the back of our house. It was now very dark.Suddenly, I heard a strange cry outside the house. It frightened me at once. I heard the cryagain, but this time it was not so loud. I now felt certain that a child had been attacked bysome person or an animal. I opened the door at the back of the house to find out what itwas. As soon as I did so, I saw a small girl with a lot of blood all over her body, lying onthe floor. She was still alive; however, I then took her into our house and telephoned tothe hospital near by. Soon an ambulance arrived and took her to the hospital. I did notknow what happened after that. When my parents returned, I told them all that had happened. The thought of thisincident frightens me even today. The difference between my father and my younger brother in the familyA definite generation gap has existed between my father and my younger brother,Tom, since my brothers thirteenth birthday. For example, my father has simply not beable to understand why Tom can sit for hours, his eyes closed, listening throughheadphones to hard rock music. And Tom has stalked out of the room whenever my fatherhas turned on the radio to one of his favorite melodious love songs. Also, since that day,Tom became a teenager, he and my father have had a continual squabble about the chores.Last year, when my father asked Tom to mow the lawn or clean up the motobikes, Tomusually did the chores without complaining. Now, at the mere mention of the wordlawn, he disappears. Moreover, for the last six months, Tom has refused to eat anythingbut bread and milk for breakfast while my father has scowled uncomprehendingly, eatinghis traditional bacon and eggs. Indeed, almost every word or action that has passedbetween Tom and my father lately has widened the gap of understanding between them.Talk about good mannersGood manners play an important part in maintaining peace and good-wiling in acommunity. A man who has good manners does not hurt the feelings of others, andtherefore he is on good terms with his friends and neighbors and also with others. In thisway he helps to keep peace in society. But a man whose manners are bad has no respect for others. He uses words carelesslyand behaves rudely towards other and causes a lot of ill-will and unpleasantness. In theend, it is he himself who suffers the most. Everyone avoids him and he is forced to livealmost in isolation. To live well in a society, money alone is not enough. We should also have goodmanners, for it is human nature to seek friendship; and friendship cannot be bought withmoney. Friendship with others makes life pleasant and it has to be earned through ourown attitude towards others. If we are kind to others, they will be kind to us, and kindnessis the essence of good manners. Bad manners not only drive away friends but also others, including our own family members.Even the richest man cannot afford to have had manners. For a man may haveenough money to buy all things than he wants; but if his manners are bad he will have nofriends, and no one can live happily without friends. Even the members of his own familymay not respect him and finally he will become a lonely man.On the other hand, a man whose manners are good has many friends. He commandsthe respect of all those who come into contact with him. He does not talk ill about others.Even when he is provoked, he tries his best to use words in a way which will not offendothers. He is also sympathetic towards the weak and ignorant and does not poke fun at thedeformities and weaknesses of others. There are, however, many people who behave so well outside their homes that theyare respected and admired by everyone outside. But in their own homes they are worsethan the devil. Such people could not be said to have good manners. Their wholebehavior is a pretence and it does not take long for others to discover this.If ones manners are good, one behaves well everywhere, even when one is awayfrom the critical eyes of others. Only such a person can live well in society. It is thereforeessential for everyone to cultivate good manners.Describe the house you are living in. Why do you love itThe house we are living in is situated in the suburb of HCM city, within thirtyminutes drive off the central city. We have lived there for more than twenty years. This isa fairly large house surrounded with a luxuriant garden. My house consists of four bed-rooms, a living-room, a bathroom with a shower, adinning-room, a kitchen and a toilet. It is air-conditioned and well-furnished. The living-room is decorated beautifully. Paintings by famous artists are hung on the walls. At night, the color neon lights increase the beauty and coziness of the room. There, on Sundays andholidays my father usually spends his time playing chess or drinking tea with his friends. My mother and my two sisters are diligent and hard-working women. They often keep thehouse clean and tidy.On suffocating days of summer, we usually take meals in the garden. It is fairly cooland quiet here. We enjoy our meals amid the melodious twitters of birds. On stormy andrainy nights all whole family members gather in the living-room, watching television ortelling each other about their daily activities.I love my house very much because it is the place where I was born and have grownup in the education of my father and in the tender loving care of my mother. I have spentmy whole childhood in the love and affection of my dear ones with so many sweetmemories.Tell about your hobby in free time.My hobby is stamp colleting. When I was still only a baby, my mother began tocollect for me. Of course, she did not let me touch the stamps until I was old enough notto spoil them. I remember that it was on my fifteenth birthday that she first put them intomy hands. They were in four fat books, but since that time I have added three more, sothat now I have a bigger collection than any of my friends. How do I get my stamps? I have never bought a single one from a shop so mycollection has really cost me nothing. My father, who works in a big office, sometimesbrings me home stamps from many countries of the world. And I have friends both hereand in other lands who send me stamps in return for ones which I send to them. Now that I am working for my living, I do not have as much time as before to spendon my stamps. But in the evenings, what can be better than to sit down at a table with myprecious books, arranging new stamps in them, writing in the names of countries, or, if Iam too tired, only looking through the stamps already in the books? Each stamp has astory to tell me of far countries and strange peoples. I see pictures of men and women, birds and animals that I have never seen. Kings and presidents pass before my eyes, and Ican follow the history of nations I can see Hitler's Germany spreading over Europe andthen suddenly breaking into pieces; Pakistan is born before my eyes; countries rise andcountries fall - and the whole time I remain comfortably in my armchair at home. But my stamp collection does not make me think only of the past. Just as my mothercollected for me, so I, too, am collecting for my future child. What better way will therebe of interesting him in history, geography and languages, and of making these subjectslive for him instead of being only things in school books? If I pass my hobby on to him,he will bless me for it as I have blessed my mother for her wise action.A picnic I enjoyedThe outline:1. When? Where?2. Who went along?3. How much I enjoyed4. The endOne day, a few of my friends and I went on a picnic to Minyak Beku, a smallinteresting place on the coast of Malaya.Minyak Beku is about five miles from Batu Pahat, a well known town in the state ofJohore in Malaya. There is a small ancient fort at the entrance to Minyak Beku. Thebeach at Minyak Beku is beautiful, and there is an iron mine near by.We arrived at that place in the morning. After getting out of the bus, we separatedinto different groups and looked for shady places to spend the day.Soon, most of us went swimming. While in the water, we were playing a fewinteresting games. Those who were on the beach were playing other games. Some ofthem even sang songs and danced. There were still others who were interested in nothing, except picking shells. In short, everyone enjoyed the trip. In the evening, we returned home in our bus, thinking of the fun we had had at that place. I enjoyed the trip so much. What is the job of a human resources manager? The person who is a human resources manager is Mary Brown. She has, in heropinion, a very good job in a big company. Right now she is in a class, teaching herstudents. The students are not children but adults. They are learning how to administrateworkers, how to talk with them and even how to help them to work effectively. In otherwords her students are managers. The managers are discussing problems and ways tosolve them in order to meet the workers questions. In her class, she always illustrateswhat she teaches by giving a lot of practical situations in her lecture. She clearly knows that workers are people. It is undoubted that happy people workbetter and are more productive than unhappy ones. Her job as well as her responsibility isto keep both the workers and the managers always in good mood. She motivates andencourages the workers. She is doing a good job and earns good money. Her companygets twenty percent more profit now than it got before.Mary Brown is now in her office, sitting at her desk. Many job applications frompeople who desire to work for her company as workers are lying on the desk. Shereceives letters from workers and managers everyday. Now it is 5pm. It is the end of a working day. She is tired and she is going to gohome. It is going to be dark outside some more minutes later. A worker is saying goodnight to her, she is wishing the same to him. Despite the tiredness, she is smiling sinceshe knows that the worker is happy and her day ends in such a good way.
