January(MR)Smt.Poonam Malako-ndaiah is one of the courageous ladyofficer in entire bureaucracy, who doesn’tgives up and compromises when itcomes to working system. That’s the rea-son she is transferred many times, butthat didn’t changed her style of working.Itreminds us of Prakash Jha film ‘Satyagraha’,in whichthe they fought against corruption, but on real screen theofficers crusade against corruption will be continue….!

January(MR)The British action thriller film by title‘Welcome to the Punch’ suits to our very hardcore ladyofficer Ms.Sujatha Gupta, who is the CEO of the SCB.Hercourageous step of illegal demolitions took her on cloudnine, that continued even after many politicalpressures. Why this tree cannot be destroyed ? Answeris, it’s roots are very deep and cannot be uprooted bysuch storms dude, don’t ever try to do so.

January(MR)‘Nayak’ did hisbest to change the entire systemjust in one day and that one daydevelopments are still afresh. As weall know that actor Anil Kapoorplayed the lead role as ‘Nayak’.

Coming to the news, some of thebureaucrats in the administration arealso playing the role of ‘Nayak’ anddoing their best on their grounds forthe welfare of the public and alsofighting against the corruption.

First comes the GHMC com-missioner Somesh Kumar, whostarted his tenure with a tremendousperformance and continuing thesame with full force. The officer

added many feathers in his cap injust second month of hisappointment.

The other officer is Hyderabad,Dist. Magistrate M.K.Meena, who iscommitted for the welfare of the com-mon public. The calm and coolofficer’s seriousness benefitedpeople of all cadre, specially the se-nior citizens.

B.Sreedhar,Dist.Magistrate of RR Dist.is the anotherofficer, who is officercum protector, suc-ceeded in saving manygovernment lands fromthe encroachers andalso taught a lesson to

January(MR)After playing the im-portant role in state the senior IAS of-ficer Binoy Kumar is watching the film‘Badhaai Ho Badhaai’….! Don’t get con-fused , people are calling him at capitalcity and conveying their greetings, forbeing appointed as a Addl. Secretaryand Financial Adviser in Ministry of External Affairs. That’sthe story.

January(MR) ‘The Christmas Wish’,we remember the three wishes ofthe senior lady officer Aruna Bahuguna, when her named is tipped as newDirector of NPA.Three years back during Christmas the lady officer in aninterview said “My three wishes to Santa are: Bring back Hyderabad to itspeaceful glory where people of different religions lived harmoniously, womenshould have more freedom and eradicate the evils of caste and dowry fromthe society.” Is she not wishing any personal wishes? “Rising in governmentservice is one of the biggest fulfilments. I do not have any wishes as life ishappy and perfect. I am frightened that it shouldn’t get disturbed,” she sighsoff. Great wishes, we too wish for the fulfilment. ‘The Christmas Wish’ is a TVmovie premiered on CBS in 1998 based on a novel by Richard Siddoway

pensive ruby that’s ‘Shalimar’.Coming to the point, the whole hearted officeris of soft nature with human values. He is known for his clean image in theofficers fraternity and it’s not wrong if we can say him as a ‘Shalimar’ officer.

January(MR)The lady officers’ likeSmt.Minnie Mathew and Smt. G.D.Aruna’s working system, social respon-sibility ,human care and ideology isslightly comparable with the hit movie‘Mother India’ that inspired people to takecare of their old mothers. Both the lady

officers’ are the caring mothers and that’s the reasonthey are so loving.

something about the real screen ‘Bigg Boss’. Any guess! Not necessary, it’snone another than the Chief Secretary Dr.PK.Mohanty and the DGPB.Prasada Rao, who are now the ‘badhshas’ of entire bureaucracy and atthe same time holding the extra liability of bifurcation.Which is only possiblefor BB’s…!

January(MR)Now the cool and thecalm senior officer S.K.Joshi is goinggreen. While inspecting the musi river hedidn’t miss the plantation that reflects hislove for the environment.Coming back tothe news, the decent and the dynamicofficer directed officials of Irrigation de-partment to come up with an compre-hensive action plan within a month.Healso directed to all the heads, who areinvolved in this project to take it in a proper manner for itscompletion in the stipulated time frame.

On real screen, these days theIndian batsman Shikhar Dhavan isalso seen in taav wali mustache and

Coming to bureaucracy the ChiefElectoral Officer Bhanvar Lal alsochanged his style as taav walimustache. The officer is also mak-ing waves with his dashing looks oncameras. As this is the right time, theelections are on cards and to gear-up with the things, more confidenceis needed,as taav wali mustache willdefinitely help the officer to go be-yond if needed. So, we recommendonly ‘taav wali mustache’.

January (MR) Earlier ‘H’used to stand for ‘Honesty &Huda’ and now the same ‘H’stands for ‘Himmatwala &Huda’. Now the question iswhy the officer is called as‘Himmatwala’. The answer isvery simple,it’s a remakemovie and the officer alsomakes over himself accord-ingly. Once the officer usedto be too hectic and now at

least the officer is able to give some time to his familyand friends. He is also seen in social events and pri-vate programmes. Recently he turned up as a guest ina art show at a star hotel, where he encouraged theartists. But, this will not be too long ,as the officer isgoing to be hectic again. How ? think, par zyada loadmath lena…!

January(MR)The officer AK.Khan is a real cop, who’s name isjust enough in the power ofcorridors. After showing ‘what iskhan’ during his earlier innings, nowthe officer is zooming up in ACB,which is again a very important andresponsible job.Not to say,but it hasto be mentioned in the round-up thatat present the ‘tale of police’ will beincomplete without discussingKhan’s name.Chak-de….!

January (MR)How will be the scene,if the formerDGP V.Dinesh Reddy will come out with his support-ers raising-up his two fingers in air and waiving hishand with victory sign and campaigning during nextelections. The well-wishers of the former officer mightbe knowing about his next plan, which is a secretnow. Is it a mere rumor or really going to be happen ?As it’s a discussion in the power corridors thatMr.Reddy will be showing his impact in comingelections, but still it is not at all confirmed, as no oneknows what’s cooking inside.

January(MR) Wow…!What a film, just watch it. Com-ing to the news, the city chiefAnurag Sharma is a top copwith his ‘Dhoom-3’ perfor-mance. Hope all agree with theresults of annual round-up.The officer proved himselfin many critical situations withhis excellent policing in lasttwo years. His 24x7 alertnessand seriousness made himthe successful officer. KoiShak….!

January (MR) Rajiv Trivedi alias ‘Milkha Singh’. He isthe one officer, who is known for his superb stamina andstrength. The officer completed Standard CharteredMumbai Marathon in 2010 in 3hours 36 minutes when hewas 50.He ran the same marathon in 2011 and took 3hours 27 minutes to win bronze medal in veteran menscategory .It’s strange that the officer completed the samemarathon in 2012 in 3 hours 28 minutes when he was 52.Now in 2013 Mr.Trivedi completed the All India PoliceAthletics Meet Marathon in 3 hours 19 minutes. He be-came the first and the only IPS officer to run the fullMarathon with police competitors. My goodness, sir whatis the secret of your energy.Boost or what…!

January(MR)Officer VSK.Kaumudi is a real cop,who is very much attached with the police uniform‘Khakee’. He is one of the officer in police headquar-ters, who can be rarely be seen in mufti. As many of usknowing about the film ‘Khakee’,in which a team ofpolice officers set out for on a mission. The film officerszeal is also seen in VSK,that’s the reason he is calledas ‘Khakee’.The other news is, last month VSK at-tended a three day seminar at Dubai.

January(MR)The officer J.Purnachandra Rao is onhigh ‘speed’ after his posting at bus bhavan. The Ameri-can action-thriller film ‘Speed’ is an unforgettable movieand the same speed will be seen at RTC in coming

State Bank of India (SBI) has notfound any procedural lapses in a Rs75-crore loan sanctioned to Delhi-based Worlds Window Group(WWG) by the bank’s mid-corporategroup, till recently headed byShyamal Acharya. Late last month, the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) alleged that Acharya, deputymanaging director, had been bribedto clear the Rs 75 crore as part of aRs 400-crore loan request.

The report of a two-member in-ternal committee comprising SBI’stwo senior-most managing directors— Hemant Contractor and AKrishnakumar — has not found anyrelaxations in the eligibility criterionwhile approving the loan. As part ofthe enquiry, the committee examinedonly the WWG loan.

“We looked at the credit appraisalprocesses and everything appearsto be as per regulations,” SBI chair-man Arundhati Bhattacharya told FE.

The report finds that no proce-

dures were skipped in sanctioningthe loan and concludes that the bor-rower was, in fact, eligible, said an-other senior official of the bank. FEcould not independently verify thecontents of the report which wassubmitted to the finance ministry onFriday. While the investigation clearsany doubts over the loan approvalprocess, the bank did not commenton allegations of bribery againstAcharya, who was asked to go onleave on the day the allegations sur-faced. “The CBI will look into thoseaspects,” Bhattacharya said.

The CBI had last month filed acase against three people includingAcharya, KK Kumra, who was anadviser at WWG, and Piyoosh Goyal, founder, WWG. According to CBI of-ficials, Goyal sought a loan of Rs400 crore from SBI. Kumra, who wasalso a former SBI official, in turn gotin touch with Acharya, who allegedlyinfluenced his juniors and got Rs 75crore sanctioned to begin with. After

the loan was cleared, Goyal is allegedto have paid Rs 25 lakh to Kumra asreward, and another Rs 15 lakh togive to Acharya.

This new tagline speaks of theincreasingly human-centric aspectof Amazing Thailand. It deepens theemotional value of visiting the coun-try, one that is linked to its people —their attitude, hospitality and spirit. Itis a core component of Thailand’sadherence to the Marketing 3.0 con-cept whereby customers are treatedas the complex, multi-dimensionalhuman beings that they are. Runjuan Tongrut, Di-rector TAT New Delhi said,“The campaign empha-sizes the good character-istics of the Thai people, in-cluding their hospitality andlifestyle, as the selling pointto attract visitors.”

for visitors. It is the people that makeThailand amazing. This is whatbrought about, “Amazing Thailand: Itbegins with the people.”

It is the peace of mindfound at the beaches, mountains, waterfalls and islands; the dedica-tion in Thai art, history, handicrafts, cuisine, spa & wellness and nationalfestivals; the blending of tradition andmodernity and the simplicity of livingwith nature. This is what makes bringspeople from across the world returnyear after year to Amazing Thailand, where “It begins with the people.”
