It’s Fall! In fact, it’s November. Our thoughts turn to the World Series, cleaning
gutters and getting ready for visitors. Isn’t it amazing to have pumpkins, turkey
and Santa Claus in just over 60 days? Who do you expect to see for that family
dinner or your tradition of going to Holiday Lights? So people travel, even in the
Fall. Let’s welcome them to Oregon’s Bay Area.
Have you voted yet? There’s still time. With so many important state and local
issues on the ballot It’s important for all of you to vote. Especially regarding
Measure 97. The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC), after a thorough re-
view of the proposal, voted to strongly oppose Measure 97 and urges you to
vote NO on this unfair tax on some Oregon businesses, which will impact us all.
Please welcome Bryan F. Williams, CPA, out newest Chamber member!
The tickets for this year’s Beef Drawing event are now available. Only 200 tick-
ets, at $20 apiece, will be sold, with each one giving you two chances to win a
cut and wrapped side of beef (about 170 lbs). Remember buying a ticket or two
or three for a cut and wrapped side of 4H beef is cheaper than hunting with a
better rate of success.
The 24th annual Economic Outlook Forum is coming up December 9th. Look for
more information on tickets for the event later this month.
Wow so many things going on it’s hard to experience them all!
Well, have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a great November!
