AVEVA has a unique technology, spanning four decades of continualdevelopment, which is designed especially for this type of project. Ourapproach has proven to be practical when applied to very large andcomplex projects.

At the centre of the AVEVA approach is the use of 'objects' to representreal parts of the ship such as a valve, pipe or pump. An object will havemany types of data associated with it, such as 2D schematic data, 3Dmodel data, documents, and property data. AVEVA technology links allthis data together and provides easy access to all the data for authorisedusers. It also controls the creation, modification and sharing processesto ensure object data is kept consistent.

Managing project data at the object level reduces costs and shortensproject times. Controlled release of object data supports the maximumlevel of parallel or concurrent working in the project.

AVEVA Marine: Integrated design and production applications combined with open andflexible lifecycle management solutions

AVEVA NET is an open lifecycle management solution for the marineindustry. On this platform, a virtual information model is created, thatenables the various information networks in a project (people, tasks,plans, drawings, models, documents and materials) to be linkedtogether to provide a single structured view of all the engineeringinformation in context. It then allows this information to be shared,exploited and managed, in a collaborative way, within and acrossenterprises.

AVEVA Initial Design is an application for naval architects. It includesfunctions for hull form definition and fairing, appendage modelling,internal arrangements, and hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analysis.

AVEVA Hull Structural Design is an application for the preliminarydefinition and arrangement of the principal structure of a vessel. Itenables production of classification drawings, steel material estimates,weld lengths, and weight and centre of gravity reports.

AVEVA Hull Detailed Design is an application for the detailed designand creation of production information for the structure of a vessel. Ithandles the complete evolution and flow of information, from the useof customised parametric design standards, structural modelling andautomatic parts generation, through to production information forparts manufacture. Output includes drawings, parts lists, and numericcontrol information for production machines.

AVEVA Hull Drafting is an application for the creation of automatedsymbolic-type hull drawings with annotation generated from the modeldatabase to shipbuilding design practices; it also provides general 2Ddrafting functions.

AVEVA Marine Diagrams is an intelligent P&ID application whichstores the created P&IDs directly in the model database.

AVEVA P&ID 3D Integrator is an application that provides dataconsistency between P&IDs and the Outfitting 3D model. It can be usedto build the 3D model from P&ID data, or to associate an existing 3Dmodel with the P&ID, so that inconsistencies can be highlighted andcorrected during design development.

AVEVA Outfitting is a datacentric, multi-disciplinary designenvironment for detailed design and the creation of productioninformation for vessels. Outfitting has modules for the design ofequipment, piping, HVAC, miscellaneous steel structures and cabletrays. Modelling is carried out using a customer-defined catalogue andspecification, in a full 3D environment, with the support of tools thatensure a clash-free design. A full range of outfitting drawings andproduction information can be produced automatically from the model.

AVEVA Multi-Discipline Supports is an application that enables thedetailed design, material take off and automated drawing productionof supports for piping, ducting and cable trays. A comprehensive rangeof standards are included, in addition to user-defined cataloguecustomisation.

AVEVA Marine – Product PortfolioAVEVA Cable Design is an application for the design of cables, includingtheir routing in cableways and through penetrations. Output includescable schedules with routes, cable cutting lists and material take off.

AVEVA Room Design is an application for the design of vessel rooms,including functions for walls, ceilings and furniture. Output includeslayout drawings, parts lists and material take off.

AVEVA Laser Model Interface provides online verification of as-built 3Dmodel data by interfacing with point cloud data from leading laserscanning systems. The interface enables revamps to be undertaken withconfidence, using the measurement, modelling tools and clashmanagement functions of Outfitting.

AVEVA Pipe Stress Interface provides a two-way interface for theexchange of information between AVEVA Outfitting and the CAESAR IIpipe stress system. Piping designers and stress engineers can exchangedesign and stress information seamlessly, to eliminate data re-entry andduplication of information.

AVEVA Clash Manager is an application that provides comprehensiveidentification, recording, trend analysis, and management of theresolution of design clashes through an approval mechanism.

AVEVA Assembly Planning is an application to support the creation ofthe production assembly sequence by creating a vessel build strategy,followed by the detailed assembly definition and preparation of assemblyproduction.

AVEVA Hull Weld Planning is an application to generate high-precisionwelding information. It analyses hull assembly structures and usescustomisable rules to calculate a full set of technical weld information.Flexible reporting tools allow the extraction of data for robot weldingsystems or work content calculations.

AVEVA Global allows users at multiple sites to work together online onthe same project. It controls the release of data to each site and ensuresthat all sites and users have access to the latest approved data, rightdown to attribute detail. The environment operates across lowbandwidths and is tolerant of communication faults.

AVEVA Review is a powerful 3D visualisation tool for large, complexmarine models. With features such as walk-through, animation, andhigh-quality photo-realistic images, Review lets you analyse designs andcommunicate complex ideas.

AVEVA ReviewShare is a 3D design communication and collaborationapplication. It brings together 3D design review, mark-up andcollaboration using 3D models, embedded screenshots, document viewsand hyperlinks, into one application. AVEVA ReviewShare works with alarge number of 3D data formats, not just AVEVA Outfitting, with server-based streaming technology or desktop model files.
