AVEVA has a unique technology, spanning four decades of continualdevelopment, which is designed especially for this type of project. Ourapproach has been proven on projects ranging from the smallestupgrades to the largest and most complex new installations.

At the centre of the AVEVA approach is the use of 'objects' to representreal parts of the plant such as a valve, pipe or pump. An object will havemany types of data associated with it, such as 2D schematic data, 3Dmodel data, documents, and property data.

AVEVA technology links all this data together and provides easy access toall the data for authorised users. It also controls the creation,modification and sharing processes to ensure object data is keptconsistent.

Managing project data at the object level reduces costs and shortensproject times. Controlled release of object data supports the maximumlevel of parallel or concurrent working in the project.

AVEVA Plant: Integrated design and engineering applications combined with open andflexible lifecycle management solutions

AVEVA NET is an application-neutral platform for all engineering datafor the plant industry. On this platform, a virtual plant informationmodel is created, that enables all types of lifecycle data – regardless ofthe programs that created them – to be made available and useful to awide range of existing applications, processes and therefore a widerange of users across organisations. AVEVA NET can be used to developadditional applications to meet the specific lifecycle informationmanagement needs of both EPCs and Owner Operators.

AVEVA VPE P&ID is an intelligent P&ID application, based on AutoCAD.Fully compatible with AVEVA VPE Workbench, with two-waysynchronisation, the application enables smart on- and offlinedatabase operation, with a full range of reports.

AVEVA VPE Workbench is an integrated engineering database, whichmanages the evolving engineering descriptions of all tagged items in aplant.

AVEVA P&ID Manager is an application for importing P&IDs fromdifferent authoring systems into the PDMS database, to allowconsolidation of all P&ID data in a project. Inconsistencies betweenP&ID drawings can be identified and highlighted.

AVEVA P&ID 3D Integrator is an integration application that providesdata consistency between P&IDs and the PDMS 3D model. It can beused to build the 3D model from P&ID data, or to associate an existing3D model with the P&ID, so that inconsistencies can be highlightedand corrected during design development.

AVEVA PDMS is a datacentric, multi-disciplinary design environmentfor the 3D modelling of process plant. It has modules for the design ofequipment, piping, HVAC, structure and cable trays. Modelling iscarried out using a customer-defined catalogue and specification, in afull 3D environment, with the support of tools that ensure a clash-freedesign. A full range of drawings and pipe isometrics can be producedautomatically from the model.

AVEVA Multi-Discipline Supports is an additional application forAVEVA PDMS that enables the detailed design, material take off andautomated drawing production of supports for piping, ducting andcable trays. A comprehensive range of standards are included, inaddition to user-defined catalogue customisation.

AVEVA Cable Design is an application for the design of cables,including their routing in cableways and through penetrations. Outputincludes cable schedules with routes, cable cutting lists and materialtake off.

AVEVA Laser Model Interface provides online verification of as-built3D model data by interfacing with point cloud data from leading laserscanning systems. The interface enables revamps to be undertakenwith confidence, using the measurement, modelling tools and clashmanagement functions of PDMS.

AVEVA Plant – Product PortfolioAVEVA Pipe Stress Interface provides a two-way interface for theexchange of information between PDMS and the CAESAR II pipe stresssystem. Piping designers and stress engineers can exchange design andstress information seamlessly, to eliminate data re-entry and duplicationof information.

AVEVA Model Object Manager provides the means to manage theprogress and status of all model objects. It effectively controls the statusof plant objects, allowing them to be reported on and tracked as theymove through the detailed design cycle to final site delivery, erectionand commissioning.

AVEVA Connectivity Manager connects the world of PDMS 3D and VPEP&ID. It enables users to compare and build objects, graphically orthrough reports, in VPE P&ID with their counterparts in the 3D model, tohighlight inconsistencies.

AVEVA Clash Manager is an additional application for PDMS that providescomprehensive identification, recording, trend analysis, andmanagement of the resolution of design clashes through an approvalmechanism.

AVEVA Deliverable Manager enables the controlled production of PDMS-generated deliverables such as piping isometrics, equipment drawingsand pipe support details, based on the status of the objects and sourcingof the deliverables.

AVEVA Final Designer can be used at any point in the drawing productionprocess to produce AutoCAD drawings from PDMS and to edit them in aclosely integrated environment.

AVEVA Global allows users at multiple sites to work together online onthe same project. It controls the release of data to each site and ensuresthat all sites and users have access to the latest approved data, rightdown to attribute detail. The environment operates across lowbandwidths and is tolerant of communication faults.

AVEVA Review is a powerful 3D visualisation tool for large, complex plantmodels. With features such as walk-through, animation, and high-qualityphoto-realistic images, Review lets you analyse designs and communicatecomplex ideas.

AVEVA ReviewShare is a 3D design communication and collaborationapplication. It brings together 3D design review, mark-up andcollaboration using 3D models, embedded screenshots, document viewsand hyperlinks, into one application. AVEVA ReviewShare works with alarge number of 3D data formats, not just AVEVA PDMS, with server-basedstreaming technology or desktop model files.

AVEVA VPRM allows the effective management of materials, vendordocuments, design documents, progress and costs, through all phases ofa project from inception to handover. It includes an overarchingmanagement information system summarising all VPRM activities forproject management.

AVEVA NET Portal is a web-enabledplatform for the integration andcollaborative use of engineeringinformation. 3D models,schematics, documents and datafrom any application can beaccessed and navigated in context,with full intelligence, withoutneeding the source applicationthat originally created the data.
