The first WP session was held in Nancy, in 1952.

Recomendations from Oulu Working Party Session:

• Further research on hydrometeorological processes monitoring• Further research on hydrometeorological processes, monitoring systems, climate change impact models and risk management tools on transnational basis

• Concrete case studies to document climate change impacts on watersheds in high latitudes and altitudes

After Oulu the Working Party has taken active steps to strenghtenlinkages with EFC

FAO European Forestry Commission on 25th

In the report for the meeting item 11 brings up co-operation with EFC and EFC MMW

Item 11 “Presentation of Activities by the Working Party on the Management Mountain Watersheds, request for guidance by EFC and plans for EFC session”p

Main things under discussion were:

• Introduction to the WP MMW• Cooperation between the EFC and the WP MMW• EFC Session on Forests and Water
