CS 80 MAGNEO – the new automatic sliding door operator.

Guaranteed safetyThe CS 80 MAGNEO hasbeen developed in accordan-ce with DIN 18650 (GermanIndustrial Standard), ANSI(American Standard) andBSI (British Standard) andeven does not require addi-tional safety sensors whenoperated in Low-Energy-Mode.Due to its extra sensitivedriving phase, it will detectany obstacle at once.As an alternative, the systemcan be switched to Full-Energy-Mode at the operator.In this case, the system hasto be equipped with optionalsafety sensors out of theDORMA Automatic acces-sory range for compliancewith DIN 18650.

Special functions includedNo matter if the door shallbe opened or held open, beactivated manually, via pushbutton or radar motiondetector – the system offersvarious special functions asstandard: Activation via pushbutton, radar motiondetector, radio remotecontrol or AutoSwitch,Push&Go, manual access,Permanent Open, Plug&Go,adjustable Full-Energy-Mode(additional safety sensorsrequired).

Easy mountingThanks to the comprehen-sive mounting and operatinginstructions, the mountingof the system does notrequire any special know-ledge and can be performedby the glass, metal and timber worker or by versedlaymen.

Thanks to an innovative door operator system basedon magnetic technology,DORMA offers with their CS 80 MAGNEO an automa-tic operator for single-panelsliding doors in the interiorof buildings. The CS 80MAGNEO is an all-purposeapplication for the public,commercial and privatesector and its low size andinnovative DORMA Conturdesign meet all requirements of modern interior design.Thanks to its new magnetictechnology, it offers analmost noiseless, safe andreliable operation in combi-nation with wear resistance.

Variable applicationsThe CS 80 MAGNEO isavailable in right- or left-handed design and suitablefor in-wall or on-wall moun-ting. There are three versionsfor door widths of up to 875 mm, 1,000 mm and1,125 mm and it is suitablefor application on timber,glass and metal doors withdoor-panel weights of up to80 kg. This new system offersvarious applications in theprivate and public sectorlike for example as interiordoor to separate living spaces, as door for walk-incupboards, office door ordoor for clinical practices,but also as door applicationfor hotels and the cateringsector.Furthermore, the CS 80MAGNEO is especially suit-able to renovate existing doorsystems in the private, pub-lic and commercial sector.

Functional principle of MAGNEO

The DC linear motor (permanent magnet linearsynchronous motor) createsa movement that is adaptedto a sliding door. Like a rotating motor, the stator ofthe linear motor creates amagnetic shear wave, whichmoves the runner and thusthe door panel.

Thereby the guide rollers arereleased via a constantmagnetic force (80 kg/m).

By reducing the system tothe actually required operator components, weachieve high reliability asonly few components areinvolved.

PushbuttonThe CS 80 MAGNEO is activated via pushbutton in an easyand comfortable way and closes the door automatically afterthe user has passed the system.

Radar motion detectorThe CS 80 MAGNEO can also be activated via a radar motion detector – so that the door will open and close automatically.

Radio remote controlThe CS 80 MAGNEO can also be activated by remote controlas an option.

AutoSwitchA transponder, carried by the people accessing the doorsystem, activates the door automatically without having to perform any action. With the aid of a code, only a restricted user group can access the door system.

Push&GoThe door will open automatically as soon it is slightly pushed in open direction by hand and will close auto-matically on expiry of the hold-open time, which can beadjusted to the prevailing requirements.

Manual access of door systemThe CS 80 MAGNEO is a full-automatic operator. However,the door can easily be opened and closed by hand – even in the event of a power failure.

Extra measure of safetyThanks to the sensitive driving behaviour of the door panel,no additional safety sensors are required when the system isoperated in Low-Energy-Mode (in accordance with the GermanDIN 18650, American ANSI and British BSI standard).

Permanent OpenThe CS 80 MAGNEO holds the door in open position for a desired period of time. The on/off switch for this function is located directly at the CS 80 MAGNEO.

Plug&GoCS 80 MAGNEO as complete unit – just install it and switch it on. The system is operated with 230-V standardpower supply. Reliable, with a minimum of maintenance effort – and easy to upgrade.
